Here is hoping the Buffs can get both wins this weekend. Must win on the road and must win in conference.

Match looks just about ready to start. Looks like normal Buff lineup- per livestats- "COLO starters: Shebby, Frankie; Pfefferle, Anna; Smith, Alexa; DeLuzio, Brynna; Abu, Naghede; Hayes, Joslyn; libero Carta-Samuels, Gabby."

(I probably won't be able to provide updates this evening.)

A conference road win, let alone a sweep, should always be appreciated.

Way to go Buffs!

Now get the cats tomorrow!

On the goals coming into the match

"We came into this match serving a little tougher, which is why we had so many errors, but I think we did a nice job getting them (ASU) out of system. When they were in one option, we point scored really well."

On the offense
"Brynna does such a nice job. She mixes it up and sets with great location. She's a big part of why we are successful."

On what is next
Arizona is a really big, physical team. They've been a little up and down, but they just swept USC [last weekend]. We are going to recover tonight, get something to eat and sleep in. Then we will look at Arizona."

Buffs lost an OT 1st set 26-28, but come back and take the 2nd 25-21. So, match tied a set a piece as the teams go into the break.

And it's going five. Buffs lose a 2nd tight set- this one 23-25. (nice comeback attempt from 20-24 down falls just short.)

Wish whoever runs the VB twitter understood the game easier. All through Set 4, they were calling it Set 3.

Buffs got two road wins this weekend. Good job!

"Every team in this league is a challenge, so getting a road sweep on the weekend is a big deal. Lex and Frankie carried the load for us in a big way and we played very clean volleyball in the fifth set. We are looking forward to playing in Coors next weekend."

Great matches for the outside hitters with the 25 kills and .300+ hitting %'s. (Hope their arms don't fall off with all the attempts.!.) Looked to me like Arizona is one of those teams who usually doesn't even try to block back row attacks, and their back row defense alone couldn't handle a lot of the Buff attacks so, without seeing the stats or being that knowledgeable about volleyball, believe the great nights for Ms. Smith and Shebby were helped (and dictated) by the success they had offensively from the back row.
