Rooney just published something on what we know for next year so far: http://www.buffzone.com/mensbasketball/ci_32331610/cu-mens-basketball-play-2019-mgm-resorts-main

1. Season opener in China against Arizona State

2. MGM Resorts Main Event in Las Vegas
(2 home games against mid-majors & then 2 gams over Thanksgiving in Las Vegas)

3. Chicago Legends Classic against Dayton on December 21st

4. Away game at CSU

5. Home game vs San Diego

We usually play a 12-game OOC schedule. Rooney said that the above represented 8 of them, but I'd assume that ASU will be 1 of the 18 conference games. Right?

The article says they play ASU only once in conference next year.

“...an extra date against Arizona State in China that will be played as a nonconference game. Since the Pac-12's rotating schedule has the Sun Devils and Buffs matching up just once in 2019-20, and that at this early stage ASU projects to be stronger than any nonconference opponent on the Buffs' schedule this year, Boyle was more open to using a familiar foe in a nonconference slot.”

Still possible to play them three times

Tad said playing them only once in conference made it palpable to play them in an OOC game. He said we will also probably play an exhibition game when in China.

That Main Event tourney-two of the other three teams are Wyoming and Jamie Dixon's TCU Horny Toads? Ack.
