Lot's of talk down here about the empty seats in G/I Arena. Sports-talk radio getting various views from callers and the newspaper had an article about it today. Apparently, the HC of the team as something on his website to the effect of, "bring back the rowdy". I'm not sure what all the cause is, but if it's not that hostile, might be a good time for a young team to steal one on the road.

Buffs 70 ...... 'boys 67

ESPN's Accuscore sim has us winning this game in about 30% of the simulations they ran. Average score was a 71-78 loss. Considering our recent history on the road, those numbers look pretty damn good to me.

:gobuffs:

Game started with Tomlinson sending a pass to the bleachers in the first 3 seconds. We had 5 turnovers in the first 180 seconds. Down 11-0 to start and now sit at 16-6. Not playing well at all.

Seriously it seems every time I get the chance to watch CU basketball, they get blown out..

Hey, we cut it to 7..

Finally over the early game jitters a bit. But we are forcing everything. OS has cooled off. 9-16.

I think I've figured it out. I'm a ****ing jinx. We get down to start, so I turn the channel, wait a while, come back and we are within, like, 6. So I watch and we start missing and they start hitting. So I leave. Then I come back and we are only down by 4. Then we miss and give up a shot and a foul. So I left again. DAMMIT.

You're right ... you're a jinx. Why don't you give us all a break and watch American Idol or something? :smile2:

Down 30-37 at half. Not where we want to be, but a pretty good recovery from that awful start. Hanging in there.

ALEC BURKS!!!!!

Once they started working the clock and moving the ball around they played well. Way too much 1-1 in the early going. Gotta keep it up in the 2nd. And why weren't they playing man defense in the non-conference? They're doing well with it in conference for the most part.

I could be wrong on this one, but I'd swear the Big 12 officials are doing their best to make sure Big 12 hoops is completely unwatchable. Swallow the ****in whistle already. :pissed:

No ****. Big XII officials are a ****ing national disgrace.

Hey ... at least the women won a tough one on the road tonight.

at the half: bounced back some after a shaky start. no surprise Moses is having a big game for the Pokes. agree about the officiating, what's the deal?

I'm like DBT. every time I look at the ****ing screen bad **** starts to happen, and when I look back after a while they are closer :bang:

watching the end of Baylor-KU. over the course of my lifetime, i wish i had a dollar for every game i've watched (on TV) at Allen FH that is close down the stretch and KU gets a call or 2 that turns a one possession game into a 5 or 6 point KU lead. nothing overt, but just a call that could go either way or could be a non-call....but, KU goes to the line or something. and KU closes it out.

being good helps, but that's not really my point.

that Moses dude had almost as many rebounds as our entire team.

Hope that Bz finds himself a big man or two!

Too bad higgins, relphorde and the rest of the team didn't bring it like burks tonight. Also, why is tomlinson playing? He turned it over almost every time he got it? Higgins and relphorde were off tonight, way off. They played well in spurts but the 2 starts of each half just killed them.

Higgins has really struggled on the road this year. He's also been in a bit of a shooting slump. He's missed a lot of FTs this year (for him). If there's a silver lining here, I guess it's that if there was one guy on the team I have confidence in being able to turn something around that's not going right in his game... that guy would be Higgins. Hopefully they get it figured out for Texas A&M.

A&M could finally be the ONE. Of course any of the upcoming road games could be "the one", but I've had a feeling about this A&M game in particular and the Buffs are growing hungrier and angrier w/each mounting road loss. Someone will fall victim soon.

I really hope the Buffs develop a more physical brand of basketball here. This is laughable how not-in-control they are on the glass.

OSU did what they set out for, they tightened up on Relphorde & Higgins. By forcing those two (5 of 19 fg's; 1 of 7 at the 3pt arch) into a poor shooting night, coupled with CU being over matched in the paint, created a very long night. They knew that would rattle the Buffs and it did, from the get go.

It isnt a curse or officiating or anything else. Everytime they are on the road, its like a deer in headlights. Granted the officiating has been awful at best, no excuse though. There was no reason to lose tonight other than they let it happen, its inexcusable really. We cant use the officials as the scapegoat every game, eventually you gotta look in the mirror. This team is good enough to get quality wins, i just dont think the belief is there yet. A losing mentality is hard to shake but it is fixable.

Tomlinson is looking more and more like a key player for this team. He's been pretty good overall this year, but when he doesn't show up, we're doomed. Hopefully he can bounce back for the A&M game.

don't know if ATM is a good matchup for us. they have bodies inside and play pretty good perimeter D with Sloan, Dash (dumbest name ever) Harris and the other guy. we make an average big in Moses look like Hakeem.
