Meet the coaches 6/23

We had better get some reports tonight.

Also, gave it some thought and upon consideration @buff4bcs1985 ... you streaking through the room with ALLBUFFS.COM written on your chest and back is probably not the type of publicity we need. Thanks for asking, though.

So much for compromise. I thought we agreed that it was fine after he promised there would be no glitter?

well ****... without the glitter whats the point...you guys weren't paying me enough anyway...

It's pretty cool to see mac in a different atmosphere. He was a lot more outgoing than I have ever seen him in any of the interviews.

Aaron Howard's father was in attendance and I thought he asked a great question about running the ball in the pac 12. Chiv explained that ttu lead the big 12 in rushing but still feels like it's more of a pass to run offense and not the other way around. Didn't get to ask them about the implications for the defense but doesn't seem like there will be as big of an emphasis on running the ball like last year.

Sounds like the CU offense we have seen under Lindgren.

Seems like we ran the ball a little more last year which really helped the defense, I just don't want to see it go back to 2014 and the defense to take a step back.

Appreciated this event. Coaches were very loose tonight, very approachable.

"Ask Baylor", Mic drop was Allsome!!!

Chiv got a loud round of applause for his public handling of Webb decision.

In response to what is the deal with multiple uniforms in college sports, MM responded "Nike", then went on to state that recruits LOVE our Unis and often that is one of their first questions.

Comment that stuck for me was just how dedicated Awuzie is. Putting in extra effort, Constant working to improve, pushing Leavitt to review film with him, etc.

Chiv promised offense will be much higher tempo. Promised Sefo will look much better. Pass game will create 5 man box/match ups and open up running game, expect more explosive run game. He also made a point of crediting Irwin as possibly best blocking TE in P12.

In speaking with Leavitt afterwards, Tupou came back at 370+, he is currently down to 355. Key to the 3-4 for us, no 3-4 without him. He also commented on how important Gillam is to stay healthy, he raved at how good he can be.

Coffee is for closers. Chiv loves the followers on social media. He is challenging staff to be more dedicated to social media and was critical of CU absence there prior to his arrival.

If they do one of these events near you, attend.... It was cool

We ran the ball pretty much exactly the national average on standard downs, and much less than the national average on passing downs. This was s slight increase from '14.

I thought it was pretty predictable last year. If we passed on 1st down, it was a very good bet that CU would be running on 2nd down to avoid a 3rd & long. Staying ahead of the chains and moving clock seemed to be much more emphasized. Problem is, when you call plays based on fundamentals of game management that are known by everyone you become incredibly predictable. Keeping defenses guessing and on their heels is not something Lindgren did very well in 2015.
