Something to keep @Buffnik and others occupied. ESPN and FOX decide to blow it all up and create four 16-team P5 super conferences, and four 16-team G5 super conferences. Each Super conference has two 8 team divisions. What does that look like? Go.View attachment 52677
Here are the Conferences and Divisions if a POTUS will ever return my messages about issuing an Executive Order.

I thing the best schedule would still be 12 games:

7 teams in your division
2 teams from other division in your conference (based on order of divisional finish the previous year)
3 teams from conferences; 1 from each division (based on order of conference finish the previous year)

Playoff would be the 8 division champions + 4 wildcards with the 4 best record division champs getting a 1st rd bye. Seeded like NCAA Tournament so that you have your seeded teams in each region from the 12 playoff teams.

1st Round: 4 games
2nd Round: 4 games
Semi-Finals: 2 games
Championship: 1 game

Start it right after the season ends so that we finish on New Year's Day.

Curious about the SEC subsets, specifically TN schools in the South and Georgia schools in the North. Admittedly, Geography was always an easy class to cheat in bc there were always maps as wallpaper in my classrooms, but I’m stumped here.

I flipped those for competitive balance. Also needed to move UF to the North for that reason (and to get 8 on each side) & decided the UGA-UF rivalry was pretty important.

An NFL model that if done correctly, would rival that league for popularity, IMO. Of course, you need central governance and some semblance of competitive balance at least in terms of profit sharing, but yeah, I think this would be an ideal structure for what this sport is inevitably moving toward
