Missing the game because I pulled a Joe Sakic yesterday

I am typing with one hand right now because I let my right middle finger get pulled into my snow blower. Going to the hand surgeon late in the afternoon to have it looked at. Spent the early morning yesterday in th ER having my finger sewn back together and immobolized. crushed the bone at the tip and also fractured the bone close to the first knuckle. Very thankful i stll have a finger and very thankful for strong pain meds!
 
wish i could say it was the snow blower but it was just my plain stupidity and lack of payining attention. I am a friggin idot in this one. period

On the bright side, this is a chance to develop the left and become an ambibator.
 
Already getting better with thr left hand. Amazing how much you can do with the opposite han. It just take more time. Believe it or not, the hospital still wanted my signature. It took some time but got a pretty good sig with the left habd just took about three times longer to write it.
 
Yikes! get better soon Brad. oh yeah - pics of gtfo! (says the guy who posted a photo of his post-MRSA surgery).
 
Man, these games are wearing on all of us, but you could have just said you were going fishing or something...
 
Get better man. It could be worse. I have a relative who turned over a lawnmower without turning it off first. We call him stumpy.

When it happened, it felt like I hit the finger with a hammer. Did not even cut through the glove I was wearing. Pulled the glove off and saw the bloody mess and the bone was visible. Thinking back, it really did not hurt that bad and then I packed it in snow and paper towels for the ride to the emergency room. The cold from the snow numbed the hand and kept it from really hurting. Yesterday is when it really started to hurt like a mutha****er.

Now off to the hand surgeon. We will see how that goes. Later!

I think he meant the BJ.

Holy hyper ****, I bet that hurt!

Are you able to drive without full use of both middle fingers? Personally, that would cramp my style.

Didn't know what a Joe Sakic was and at first I thought I was reading the gayest allbuffs post ever. Then it turned out to be the most horrific. Good luck in surgery!
