Missouri Valley adds Valpo to replace Wichita State

University presidents from schools affiliated with the Missouri Valley Conference unanimously voted on Monday night to formally invite Valparaiso University to join the conference, multiple sources told CBS Sports.

Valpo, which currently is a member of the Horizon League, is expected to accept the invitation and officially join the MVC on July 1.

Probably the best fit and I think it's a good job by the MVC. They're still considering whether to add 2 more and go to a 12-team conference. Big hit for the Horizon League. (DU should be lobbying the MVC hard to be the next team. Would be great for them.)

I know we've had this discussion before, but DU should be the next WCC team whenever BYU leaves. That's their best fit.

Best the MVC could do to replace Wichita. Valpo is a solid hoops program.
