More Buffs?

Could we expect to see anymore Buffs drafted? I am kinda surprised that I am seeing other CB's taken before Jalil. I thought that we had one of the best tandem CB's in the Nation.

With Jalil taken by KC, my last hope is McKnight. That dude will not disappoint whichever team takes him.

It would be nice. I can't help but wonder if we would have a different turnout in this yrs draft had our coaching/game play been better this season.

There are a few guys that I think could be players in the pros but won't get a very good look at because of our lack in CU the past few years.

Hard to believe that Niles "Stone Hands" Paul goes ahead of a vacuum cleaner like McKnight. Funny how race plays such a huge part in these drafts, teams are scared of black quarterbacks and they are scared of white receivers.

Are you really serious abut the race card being played?

...?!?!...:bang:

I sort of like Niles Paul. He's a headcase that ****ed Nebraska at times, and he's still a freak athlete. I'd consider taking him in a later round.

Scotty just doesn't have the athleticism of Paul - nowhere close. The disparity is enough to overcome Scotty's better hands.

Scotty's got that synergy with Mark Sanchez from back in their prep playing days. I've got to believe if he goes undrafted that the Jets are the odds on favorite to UFA him.

Now that the lockout is back on we will have to wait to see if McKnight is given a shot. No UFAs until the lockout is resolved.

Okay, the NY football Jets just found a loophole: Actually drafting him. Go Scotty!

You don't think people make jokes that Cam will build his house right in between Jamarcus Russel and Vince Young? Also why are white receivers always labeled as "posession type of guys"? You may be annoyed by interjecting race into the discussion but to ignore that it does play a part in where players are assigned positions and draft status demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the sociology of sport. I am sure you can find one online, you will be surprised as to what you would learn.

Scotty will have more NFL receptions than Mr. Paul . . . FACT!

Glad to see Scotty drafted but with where he was drafted late in the 7th round it probably cost him some money. He would have made more as a UFA. In the long run I don't think it is going to matter. With the work ethic that Scotty showed at CU, his ability to catch anything thrown in his direction and willingness to take hits doing it along with the impression that the Jets didn't come into this draft loaded at WR makes you think that Scotty has a chance to have a nice career.

Kerley who the Jets picked before Scotty is also a slot type of reciever with good hands and better speed than Scotty but is nowhere near as polished as Scotty. He played in a true spread offense and never had to learn the pro style routes. Scotty will have the opportunity to impress in training camp, especially if the lockout continues and they don't get to have the mini-camps.

Good situation for Scotty.

Paul is the classic boom or bust player. If he gets it together and can fix some skill deficiencies he has the talent to make somebody look very good, more likely he frustrates a position coach for a couple of years and is out of the league like so many other physically gifted recievers before him that just lacked that refinement that is the difference between a college star and a pro washout.

Definitely helps to have friends in high places (otherwise known as the starting QB). Now show them what you can do, Scotty!

I am happy for McKnight, but this does not surprise me that much. He is legit.

think scotty might be in for a little coaching shock going from the soft Dan Hawkins to the loudmouth Rex Ryan?

Luckily scotty succeeded in spite of Dan Hawkins so he has that going for him.

Good luck to Scotty.
