Great. We need W's in a bad way. I'm happy that we aren't scheduling Ohio State, FSU or another top program. Those games will be great once we've started playing at a high level.
So our 2014 schedule should include Bama, and Wisconsin right?

Hell yes! Anyone any time any where. So our 2014 schedule should include Bama, and Wisconsin right?

That worked in the 90's. Not so much now.
Georgia and WVU would like to have a word with you.
So would FSU (x2), Ohio State, Cal, ASU (x2) etc
Well we have a much better chance of heading into conference play 3-0 with a schedule like 2012 or 2013 rather than previous schedules, especially during rebuilding. We went 2-9 against FSU, tO$U, Cal, ASU, UGA, WVU, etc since 2006. Not a winning formula.Oh yeah? Did they say we're supposed to win them all?? Get real.
Getting mangled by superior teams OOC while we are in a transition period makes us real men, right?!? Right?
Exactly. Play the big boys and don't pad the schedule.i'm sure this game will sell out.
oh well. i get it. i understand it. but, i don't have to like it on a gut level.

Yeah we've played the big boys in our OOC and have gone 2-9 against them in that span with one of them being over a 6-7 Georgia team minus AJ Green for a half. I'd rather play a easy OOC, head into conference play 3-0, go to a bowl game, help out the coaches and recruiting than go 2-9.Exactly. Play the big boys and don't pad the schedule.

Seeing that our OOC schedule is already filled for the next two seasons and if we're still in a "transition period" by the time we can actually play BCS teams again, I will be severely disappointed.
Yes I agree. We should be at a level again by 2014 where we can schedule a BCS team in OOC but it needs to be an area where we recruit (so back east, maybe Rutgers or another Big lEast team) and only one game since we play nine BCS teams with the Pac 12 schedule.See my above reply to buffs04. We better be done rebuilding by the time we can play BCS teams again for OOC.

You probably also probably believe in moral victories.Yeah we've played the big boys in our OOC and have gone 2-9 against them in that span with one of them being over a 6-7 Georgia team minus AJ Green for a half. Nope not at all. This isn't the 90's. We don't need to pad our schedule with tough OOC games every year. We play nine conference games plus CSU. We need a week or two where we don't play a BCS team. I'm fine with a marque OOC game every few years but we don't need to revert to the 90's scheduling. You probably also probably believe in moral victories.
I'd like to play a game back east where we recruit from so Virginia or Rutgers would be a good choice.Im cool with it but I like the idea of playing a good BCS team in 2014. It doesnt have to be Bama or some ****. How bout like a Virginia, Rutgers, Miss St, or somebody along those lines? Id like to get Notre Dame on there but thats me.
