"Knight heard a grinding sound, turned around and saw Meisler ducked down … on the outside of Knight's vehicle at the right rear passenger door," the police report said. "He said that he could see her hands moving back and forth near the vehicle."

Knight later told police he didn't think Meisler could see people were in the truck because it has tinted rear windows.

Knight told police he got out of the truck and demanded, "What the (expletive) are you doing?"

Knight said Meisler replied, "You've just assaulted me. It's your word against mine," according to the police report

Knight said he never touched the woman. But he added that "his Tacoma was brand new and that he was very upset," the report said.

Knight called 911 and police said an officer spotted Meisler running east near a Barnes and Noble store.

The whole thing's a must-read. Too damn funny.

LOL...she drove a green Honda Civic and she's the one who covers CSU.

The color of the truck was silver...one of CU's colors...you figure the rest out.

Meisler is a poor columnist. I remember seeing her drivel when she was the beat reporter for the goats. Even in the slimy world of info tainment, formerly known as journalism, she stands out as a lowlight.

Meisler is 60?

what a joke. the Mean Streets of the Whole Foods Parking Lot in Denver.....cutting keyed by a 60 year old CSU honk writer.

What a douchebag!

I love how the comments section(of the Denver Post article) blamed the whole thing on a "sense of Boulder Entitlement." How rude of that man to honk at the very important reporter who was so short of laxative that she stole somebody's parking space. And then keyed his car and ran away. Even for a Denver Post reporter, thats pretty stupid.

i have to ask this question.... was she one of the fine "columnists" from the denver post who piled on CU during the supposed "scandal"? anyone know?

I don't remember her being out front on any of the so called scandal, but when has she ever been out in front on anything.

If I do remember correctly; Let's just say that she was in a position to do some actual investigation which would have shown that most of what was being reported was either completely false or blown completely out of proportion and she didn't. Instead she went along with the herd reporting what Mary Keenan stated as fact.

I'm guessing it costs more than $500 for scratches from a "keyed" car that is new. Then she's in line for a felony. What a stupid thing to do.

so... and i ask this because i trust your opinion on this.... she was basically complicit. she never broke anything but towed the party line with no investigation of her own? is that fair to say about her?

She is creepy. Walking around the lockerroom post game checking out players junk. If she were a dude she'd have been run out of Denver years ago. <Shudder>

That is my memory. Truthfully I don't really remember a lot about what she wrote during that time but I know she was writing, wrote some pieces about CU, and if she had bothered to do the work and report the truth I would have remembered, so yes she was basically complicit. Natalie has made a career out of trying not to rock the boat with those she thinks could do her career damage. She also has shown that she will favor the word of a woman politician, athlete, or coach over that of a male on a number of occasions regardless of the credibility of the source.

None of this should surprise anyone who has read her stuff over the years. In her years as the beat writer for CSU she might as well have been on the payroll for the AD ignoring things like the Frosty Rucker situation until it was so obvious that she couldn't ignore it then soft pedaling it. She was a huge backer of Sonny until the AD decided that it was about time for him to leave at which point she again toed the line. With the CU situation, since the AD didn't have the backbone to stand up for Barnett and the innocent players who were being slandered it is logical that she would have simply gone with what Keenan and her publicity machine were feeding the press.

well then, i wont feel so bad if the general public does not give her due process. especially CU fans. the judicial system has to do its job but a little turnabout is fair play. sometimes.

Almost anyone caught running from a possible felony is going to get arrested. She gets a ticket to municipal court instead. Muni Ct has no felonies and Natalie will get a sweet deal. She was probably emotionally overwrought, due to Memorial Day, and not responsible for her actions

I may be in the minority here, but I don't think she's that bad of a reporter. Sure she isn't Kensler but she certainly isn't John Henderson either. Her writing is unremarkable, but I don't remember anything that upset me particularly.

not sure if serious

Loved this part

After the officer issued Meisler a summons, she asked for a police escort back to her car at Whole Foods, because "this guy was harassing, was stalking" her, the police report said. The officer told Meisler the other driver had already left and she was not given an escort.

DP writers, known to be fair, balanced and competent, are entitled to vandalize anyone's property because they are better than the general public, do a lot of thorough research, and know more than you.

You hit it on the head, she isn't a bad reporter, she also isn't a good reporter. She is a middle of the road, fill some column inches without getting anyone upset with me reporter. If she retired today, nobody would really miss her next week. Nobody particularly hates her, nor does anyone particularly like her, she is just there.

I think the point of 4DemBuffs which I agree with is that she was in a position as a college beatwriter in this state to be able to go past the surface stuff that was being fed to the press and actually look for the truth in the situation, and she didn't. She wasn't out front in the witch hunt but she certainly wasn't standing in the way of the witch hunt either, despite being in a position to help do so.

From that standpoint if she claims that she is being treated unfairly in the press for this incident and that her side isn't being adequetely looked at she can only look at her own history before complaining.

I had completely forgotten about her until this story reminded me of her excellence in mediocrity. All I remember is how childishly simple her lapdog approach to "reporting" was when she covered the goats. I really didn't even know she was still around. I thought she may have gone the way of Sally Schrager. What ever happened to her anyway?

it find it funny that this story is buried in the Denver Post. They are trying to protect their own. What about the "truth" guys. bring out the pitchforks, I'm sure you still have them left in some shed somewhere are what you did to CU.
