Transfer from Bama, he was the 2nd-rated pro-style passer coming out of high school in 2010.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Quarterback Phillip Sims has been granted a waiver to play at Virginia this season. The school says it was informed by the NCAA of the decision Wednesday.

Sims, who was among the highest rated quarterbacks in the country coming out of Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake in 2010. He had a 48-4 record and set state records with 10,725 yards passing and 119 touchdown passes.

He played in eight games as a redshirt freshman at Alabama in 2011, then transferred to Virginia in May

Why do pro style QBs play at Bama under Saban? I get the winning the MNC aspect and being a star on campus, but being relegated to handing off the ball 40 times a game must get boring.

Must be a McElwain thing and he's the CSU head coach. If our DL can stop CSU's running game and pressure the QB, that ought to help our chances against CSU.

Good luck with that.

Embree would give his left nut to have Nwoke

Well he sure tore us up last year. Or not. Do you even watch football? Quick quiz, blown up or stuffed?

He didn't even start until like the 8th game of the season and he still got like 1300 yards.

Nwoke and Grayson will easily combine for 250 rushing yards. BVP style

CSU has a long history of tough running RBs who got overlooked out of HS. Not quite good enough to be effective in the pros but solid contributors at the college level.

Nwoke is a good enough back to hurt us given the opportunity. Our DL needs make sure that we are effective against the CSU OL and not give him the opportunity to control the game. He will get his yards but if we can force CSU into passing situations by not letting him get consistent gains on early downs we will be fine.

wow I got confused. He is going from Bama to Virginia. So is this guy is Phil Sims jr?

He better be Hershel Wakler + Bo Jackson x Larry Csonka, cause your coach was cruising the Dorms for fatties to play O-line, a rather important component in a running back's success. Good luck with that.

RUSHING No. Gain Loss Net TD Lg Avg.
NWOKE, Chris7356290134.1

29 yards on 7 carries, the man is a beast! Embree may give both nuts just to have this second coming of Marhall Faulk sit out the Rocky Mountain Showdown.

Ya we already discussed this a thousand times.

3-4 of our OL (and two potential starters) were out this spring with ACL injuries which necessitated that need.
Our OL is completely fine

Do you have an feasibility study on that too? Yay monorails and magic instant ACL healing linemen.

Two of your potential starters (and apparently one to two of their backups) will be playing their first game after ACL injuries serious enough to keep them out of spring practice? Yeah, that sounds completely fine to me.

Well their backups got a full year of experience on the OL last year, and Caprioglio is a 3 year starter so...

Gasm: Apply logic you just used on your OL to our OL. I look forward to your report.

Don't know about your OL.

I know you have I think 2 returning starters on O though
Scared to do it, I'm sure. And no, I don't think that. Do you like pretending that other people are saying things they actually aren't in order to make arguments?

Let me help you with our OL: Every single player projected to start right now has started at least one game. One will be a 3 year starter (our LT), and several will be entering their second year of starting. Now apply your logic.

I was thinking Phil Sims son was at Tennessee, not sure. Phillip Sims is black and ive never heard he was realated to Phil, could be wrong I guess.

Well everyone on our OL has started also. Richburg and Caprioglio are 2-3 year starters and Richburg is one of the best centers in the nation so....

They sure have been the last three years when you went 3-9 each year against pathetic schedules. (Or are you now going to tell us that ICON proves the the MWC is stronger than the SEC.)

I see you are not applying the same logic. Our OL will not be going against your OL. Now, apply the same optimism to our OL that you do to yours.

Btw, our Center is also on the Rimington award watch list. Our LT is also on award lists. Use that information in your analyiss.

The OL has been a constant bright spot for CSU over the years. Apparently good enough for a 1300 yd rusher

It's the defense that has sucked (and QB)
