thebasketballdistribution.com had an interesting post today. He ranked all teams by their starting 5 and showed the bench impact. He basically seems to have taken his adjusted +/- ranking (which now includes defense) and weighted it by their minutes played.
Colorado has the 40th best starting 5, but Colorado has the 3rd worst bench in the NCAA, Wyoming with the worst and South Carolina Upstate is 2nd worst (i had to google south carolina upstate to see if it was a real school, apparently it is).
Other P12 teams to note, Oregon St has the 23rd best starting 5, Cal has the 37th and Saturday opponent UCLA has the 42nd best starting 5 and a much better bench.
I was really surprised at first look about CU's bench, but outside of Booker the bench doesn't do much.
