I can only hope this means that Lane Kiffin is headed to Lincoln!

Hee Hee.

(Ok, admittedly Schadenfreud on my part. Can't help it )

Seriously dumb move, they still think they are a dominant program. Frost or whoever they hire will not do any better.

I expect them to hire Frost

He should be at the top of the list. Remember Pelini had much support from alum and booster base as a "fusker guy". Frost would have that same support and his resume might reach its apex here in a few weeks

I hope it happens since it further erodes Oregon.

Bo was NOT "Fusker Family"....he was from Ohio and was DC for a short time, but obviously not long enough to sheep-dip him for life for the Red Hordes or to accustom Bo to love red polyester---he hated those fans.

Frost on the other hand, is from NE, initially went to Stanford before transferring back to kNU and is a hometown hero-type to the Horde; he is truly "family."

His moving from UO wouldn't hurt the Ducks much at all. What's gonna damage them is the loss of Mariota!

Tough to find out Bo is gone. He and his family are good people. I can see that Bo was getting tired as the season went along. This may be somewhat of a mutual decision. We'll never know for sure.

As it is, the Nebraska AD Eichorst has some big ones to pull this off now. He is throwing the dice big time to get the Husker program to the next level.

There are many names being thrown around to fill the next position. I would expect a decision will be made within the next 2-3 weeks.

Assistant Coach Barney Cotton will coach the team for the Bowl game.

Money is not an issue for Nebraska.

While true, it should be a consideration. They can't afford to hire another Callahan. Like him or not, Pelini kept the stadium full. Whoever goes there won't be given a long leash.

I'm going to really miss seeing Little Bo going off on his players, coaches, & officials, all the while spitting while yelling, turning red, and that vein in his neck and forehead that shows up real well when it looks like he's about to stroke out from off the chart blood pressure.

Pelini didn't keep the stadium full. The football program on the whole did. The stadium was full all through the dark ages of the Callahan tenure. AD Eichorst just said in his presser that the buyout money will come from a reserve operating expense fund and that there is mitigation language in the contracts of each of the football coaches. If they get jobs at another school or even at Nebraska, the buyout is less. Nebraska has the money to hire whom ever they pick as the new head coach and his staff.

You guys are clueless.

Do the Corn Humpers have any unhappy players and recruits we might need?
