Nelson Spruce stats after 5 games (friggin' ridiculous)

56 receptions
694 yards
10 touchdowns

Already one of the best seasons by a WR in CU history.

Hate to ask this...but is he here next year or do we once again lose what talent we have as soon as they can get to the league? At the beginning of the year I had no fear we'd lose anybody early this year. If he keeps up the pace and finishes as the #1 or #2 WR in CFB wouldn't he pretty much have to go?

Don't know if he has NFL speed to be elite. Think he stays. He is amazingly good and hope he does.

Did ponder today about how ridiculous our O would be had PRich stayed.

On Bear Insider someone was asking about the last time a white receiver tore them up like Nelson (or as they called him, Paul Richardson 2.0). Answer by someone was Eric Decker from Minn.

Not a bad comparison, except Spruce doesn't seem to trip over his own feet.

He's like Scotty McKnight on crack. Same great hands but a little more speed, height, and strength. Should still be the nation's leader in TDs. Now if we could only find a defense, hope TT is back and healthy next Saturday.

If he keeps up this pace, these are Heisman numbers. I don't think anyone on any team means more to his than Spruce, but he plays for Colorado so the chance of even getting a look are pretty slim.

He also makes everyone around him better. They move him all over the field. We hit 12 different receivers and much of that is helped by Mr. Spruce.

Charles Johnson was the best CU receiver ive seen play but Spruce is definitely in the top 5. I'm partial to him anyway. I'd have never thought Spruce was ready after this year. He has a good evaluation, I'd advise him to leave.

I understand, but unless there was an injury, he wouldn't hurt his stock next year. And I want to be selfish, dammit!!!

I'm assuming Spruce is gone at the end of the year. I'm guessing we get some good WR recruits...with Spruce gone and Sefo here for 2 more years, 4-5* WRs would love to come to Boulder.

Beast. He's going to shatter the CU record books. Bilitnikoff favorite... hopefully him being on a crappy team doesn't hurt him too much

CU needs to fire up the Spruce for Heisman pr machine. I knowop he doesn't have much of a chance but it will absolutely help recruiting

Scotty couldn't hold his damn jock. He knows where to be and makes plays. Feels the game, instinct, he's a damn good route runner, glue hands, what's not to like? Forced it once and we lost but I don't blame him for looking for him, #$straight baller.
