I’m working under the assumption KD and RG have realized completely eliminating that team after MT left was the wrong move.

KD did not have anything to do with that team being eliminated so I can't speak as to why they are hiring on more recruiting staff. I can say that this particular staffer, along with a few others, were not released by RG with the rest of the recruiting staff as they were unpaid interns. Seems she left of her own accord to re-join MT.
