New Mexico hires NM State's Paul Weir

Hard to tell what contribution he had at NMState. His one year, WAC POY senior guard Ian Baker commanded the team. Team was in autopilot and Menzies built the program wonderfully. Hopefully UNM will come back and NMSU won't fall off.
As a side note, conference expansion has really helped NMSU in a strange way. As the better schools left the WAC, NMSU passively rose to the top for basketball. They've had a good run of WAC championships and NCAA appearances for the last 10 years.
