...should be a hotel near Folsom Field unless it's at Folsom Field.

"I think this is unique, this setup here. The fact that the Wasserman building has just been built, and it's a state-of-the-art facility to have your two practice fields right there in the middle of campus; Pauley Pavilion is to your left, and then the Luskin Conference Center and hotel is right at the other end of it," Kelly said. "I'd like to be able to just stay in the Luskin Center. I've heard it's expensive to live here, so if we could work out a deal where I could just stay in the Luskin Center, it would be great.

For Bruins athletic director Dan Guerrero, that's the aim. Kelly is the fourth football coach that he has hired at UCLA, and none of the first three -- Karl Dorrell (35-28), Rick Neuheisel (21-20) and Jim Mora (46-30) -- ultimately worked out. This time, the buzz is different.

Whoa! Talk about getting lots of rope on football hires. Incredible.

His coaches are 102-78, he hasn’t failed. He hasn’t hired a Nick Saban homerun yet but they’re 24 games over .500 for the 3 coaches.

:ROFLMAO: Hurray!

For what UCLA could and should be, that’s not much of an excuse.

Right and we both have 1 national title and a long history. Do we want to go over our record for our last 3 coaches? Didn’t think so. I’m pretty certain 95% of fanbases would take 7 wins on average a year over a 15 year period.

We’re building a convention center & hotel on campus, so this is coming.

Folsom.....some cosmetic fixes (warped gold barrier boards along concourse behind lower bowl), something someday with fieldhouse perhaps. But really need wins on the field, then contemplate next move.

That’s two years old. Are they moving forward or is it stalled?
As of last September, the University was looking for city help in funding it through tax incentives. Sounds like CU is ready, but it is in the city's hands.

Edit: According to this article, the plan is now in the proposal phase and CU is currently working through design firms.
