And I will point out again, that their QB is a stud. His uncle is one of my all time best friends who I grew up with (a fantastic pitcher). His Dad was one of the GOAT athlete's in AZ history (held records as a pitcher, hitter, and TD catches), who spent most of his adult life in prison on drug charges. This kid had to take a long road, with no money for QB coaches and camps, but I expect he will have a cup of coffee in the league, at minimum.

This is why the "minor" bowls matter.
I've said before that we should cut a few of the bowls so that we don't have sub .500 teams going but for a school like NMSU going to a "minor" bowl is a big deal and will be the highlight of a lot of those players careers.
These kids go out and practice just as often, long, and hard as they players in the P5 schools, get hurt just as often and have to make the same time and effort commitments.
I have no idea what bowl NMSU is going to but I hope that every one of those players has the time of their life being there.
