No more Coors in CEC

If the deal expired "long ago", why would RG wait until now to re-sell the naming rights?

Seems like some key detail is missing.

In general though, not a fan of alcohol sponsors for college-related events -- I'm good with this change.

It wasn't the beer company that was the sponsor, it was the family. But if someone didn't know that, the assumption would be that it was a beer sponsor.

It's going to be the CU Events Center this year.

I guess RG simply felt that it was better to market it with no current sponsor.

Too bad United bought the naming rights to the Coliseum......

Perhaps with naming rights, the seat backs that have never been put in can happen. They were supposed to happen a few years after Coors opened.

They changed the name when I was there. I always thought it should have been the “Pete Coors Center” or something like that just to make sure people didn’t think they were advertising a beer.

Why? Does Sacky have a distinctive voice or something? The other bits of this, not a damn word from me :D.
