It seems that most on the board are crucifying Hawkins for pulling Hansen and putting Cody into the game today. I, like the rest of you, disagreed with the decision and thought they should have left Hansen in, good or bad. But what if it was Keisau that made the call? What if he, as the QB coach, decided that Cody was more prepared to handle the situation when he was put in? Again, I don't agree with the decision, but if Hawkins is letting his assistants coach, and they made that decision, then the nepotism criticism appears to be unfounded. But, ultimately, Hawkins is responsible for the decisions made by his staff.
I just wonder how much input Keisau has in that decision. If Hawkins made the call then I have to believe that Keisau is not a happy man.
I'm not sure we'll ever know the answer.
