Pac-12 opener tonight as the Buffs tip off at 8PM MT in beautiful Boulder for the first time since beating UNC almost 3 weeks ago. The cold snap is over and our Buffs are back from the islands. A win tonight and we're tied for 1st place in the Pac-12!

TV is FoxSports 1 with radio coverage on 850 KOA.

The RSSBot has been slacking on finding game previews for this one. We don't even have the official CU preview yet, but here's what I dug up:

Huge game. Win this game and we are in decent shape for the conference schedule. Lose it, and we may as well start thinking about Spring Football.

I'm worried about this one. Alford is coaching for his life. They've lost 3 straight and are desperate.

on another note, I'm looking to go directly from tonight's game to the Boulder Theater to see Yonder Mountain. I'm either going to be leaving the game early, arriving late for the concert, or a little of both.

My goal is to minimize travel time from CEC -> car -> parking -> Boulder Theater (maximize paid entertainment time).

My current thought is to park off of the Kitridge Loop (the one up right up the hill leaving the West side of the CEC), and then take Regent to Broadway to the theater.
  1. Seem reasonable? Anyone that knows Boulder than I with a better parking & route strategy?
  2. Anybody know where the best place to plan to park is near the Boulder Theater? I've never had much of a problem finding parking nearby, but nor do I have a pre-determined place that's reliable and close to the venue. Don't want to waste time driving around and looking for a spot.

That is an awesome night. I can appreciate your taste in solid bluegrass while simultaneously despising your take on deciding a national champion in college football.

excited to see the buffs get back on track - 2014 is over, the curse needs to end.

A female version of "A Night At The Roxbury"? Baby, don't hurt me !

Zero excuse for UCLA to be more "desperate" than we are. We're in the exact same boat as them (we both lost all OOC games to anyone with a pulse). We're at home which should make us more desperate, if anything.

The first day of the conference season is usually a huge day for me. I am shockingly unexcited today. I keep forgetting there is even a game.

I'm hoping the fact that we've never beat them in conf, need a win badly, and that ski & XJ want to beat friends from their home area will be enough.......but I'm not holding my breath.

I also saw listed Jhop was a probably starter over XT - could be a good thing?

There is a parking garage just to the East of the Boulder Theater. I've never had any problems finding a spot in there, but tonight might be different. You access the lot off of 15th st.

Line moved in our favor, now 5.5 favorites. Feels weird being a sizable favorite over UCLA given how bad we've been. If there's ever a UCLA side we can not make look like world beaters, this is probably it..

One thing I am looking forward to is seeing the matchup up front with Kevon Looney. I'm not sure if Wes or Josh will be guarding him, but Looney is projected as a Top 5 pick in next year's draft. It might give us some insight into Josh's NBA readiness. If they don't guard Alfraud's kid out beyond the line I'll spit.
