Official Buffs @ Arizona Score Prediction Thread

CU 27
UA 10

The defense scores a TD and the offense still sputters.

Buffs will continue this weird mathematical pattern with regard to scoring points and allowing points where they:

A. Score twice as many points as the previous week
B. Allow the opponent to score twice as many points as the previous week
C. Score exactly twice as many points as the opponent
D. Score in multiples of 10 and allow opponent to score in multiples of 5

So,

Buffs 10 Stanford 5
Buffs 20 UCLA 10
Buffs 40 Arizona 20

....if this pattern holds up, then next week: Buffs 80 Wazzu 40.

Arizona's DL starters are small. Their starting nose tackle is listed as 245lbs. Their starting DE is 275lbs. They got some bigger back-ups, but they are backups to a 245lbs nose tackle for a reason. They are 97th in rush defense. They are 125th in 3rd down percentage allowed. Size up front is the issue and can't be fixed. Their secondary doesn't look great either (probably cause they get no pass rush)...they are 114th in pass efficiency defense. Now knock all these numbers up by thirty spots because they are playing pac12 competition. Result: still ****ty.

...and yet they somehow took Washington to overtime. Say what you will about RR but he is one of the best at seeing mismatches and then exploiting them. Look at last year's game against us for a good example.

I just can't see the creativity of RR saving them here. If Sefo and the Oline can't get their groove back in this game then something is really wrong. On the defensive side we should shut these guys down if we can contain their speed to the edge. If we can hold Stanford to 5 and UCLA to 10 can we not hold UofA to even less?

If cu can't hang 40 on this defense, who gave up 69 to the cougs then this team is in trouble the last two weeks.
