Official Buffs vs. Michigan Score Prediction Thread

The Buffs falter in the bright lights of the Big House (I'm aware it's a day game--stick with me) and stumble out of the blocks, fumbling the opening kickoff and giving Michigan field position for an easy score. Sefo struggles to find an open receiver and our running game is essentially shut down. While the defense rallies, Michigan knocks out another touchdown a field goal. Our lone scoring opportunity, a field goal attempt bounces off the upright.

When we enter the lockerroom, down 17-0 the Buffs are dejected. Coach Mac, covers a couple of Xs and O's. But then, a side of Leavitt emerges that the players don't see often, or have never seen. He isn't fired up. He doesn't head-butt anybody. He simply explains, with unquestionable confidence, that this is the Buffs' game to win, and he trusts that the team will take care of business. And slowly, each and every Buff in that locker-room gets it. They're in this thing. And they can win it.

When the team can't see, Leavitt, overflowing with emotion and Pepsi headbutts Chev, just to get it out of his system.

Buffs take care of business in the second half, and pull out the 24-23 victory. The nation has to acknowledge that the hibernation is over, the Buffs are back, and the team receives another vote in the AP poll.

CU brings their Uber focus and top ranked defense to the Big House and pull out a shocker.

CU 42
UM 41

UM 31, CU 13. I owe a Michigan fan money unless we are within 7. Don't make bets while drunk in the back of a limo in Napa, people.

Wolverines: 27
Buffaloes: 20

The difference is the Buffs are forced to kick 3 field goals, and make 2 of them, in 5 trips to the red zone.

28-10 Michigan
CU offense can't sustain drives and the defense eventually wears down in a game closer than the score indicates.

in an instant-classic that will be replayed and highlighted this whole season, the Buffs pull the upset.

michigan controls the game early and the Buffs appear to be very outclassed in the first half and they head into the locker room with the wolverines up 24-10.

the Buffs get the ball first in the second half and manage to pull within 7 with a long drive (24-17). the wolverines answer with a field goal and the teams enter the 4th quarter with michigan up 27-17.

with just under 6 minutes to play, the Buffs force a controversial turnover and chido takes it to the house. replay doesn't reveal enough to over turn the call. michigan is now up 27-24. the wolverines start to eat clock and they run it down to 1:52 on the clock before they are forced to punt. CU gets the ball back on its own 27 with no timeouts left. the teams are both gassed. CU lines up in the spread and no-huddles its way to the wolverine 40 yard line with 1:15 still on the clock. shay fields separates from the michigan defense (he's double covered) and sefo throws a beautiful pass that hits him in stride. touchdown, CU. CU up 31-27, with still 42 seconds left.

with 100k fans now on the edge of their seats, michigan starts at their own 25 and 2 timeouts. a couple quick first downs and they are out to the 50. harbaugh calls a run up the gut and it catches the gassed CU defense by surprise. the wolverines take it all the way down to the CU 8 yard line. michigan hits a double-covered wideout in the end zone for the td with 6 seconds left. wait, there is a flag. offensive pass interference. take the score off the board. time for one last play. SACK! derek gets into the backfield and ends the game.

an eery silence descends on the crowd and you can hear a small and hoarse group of Buffs singing the fight song. final score: CU 31 michigan 27.

michigan fans complain forever.

Go Buffs.

Michigan will dominate most facets of this game, except for turnovers. Michigan's young QB hasn't been tested and is starting to believe in his own hype. Michigan turns the ball over 4 times (3 interceptions and a fumble) and CU pulls the upset 24-13.
More Kool-Aid please.

31 Michigan
13 Buffs

Buffs cover and acquit themselves well on the road, but simply can't match the talent level of Michigan.
