The day after the Cal game (which I missed because I was working in Jackson-Tebow-ville being clowned by Clemson, Texass and Tennessee alums for wearing the polo of a school whose football tradition had been raped the last 5 years), I was back in sweet Colorado nursing my pride with a hot Italian dinner. The patrons in the booth over from me appeared to be a father and son combo both decked out in Cal gear. I broke the ice with a "Some game, huh? Too bad I missed it." They couldn't have responded with kinder words for how passionate the fanbase was, echoing everything I read here about the stadium intensity during the final plays. We talked a bit about Jeff Tedford's longevity for the program looking ahead, and they both said they think the Buffs are finally back on their way up in the college football world. After paying their bill and walking toward the exit the younger of the pair gave a "Good luck the rest of the way... GO BUFFS" that resonated through the joint.
Much classier than anything I have ever heard from my best of friends, all Whorn fans. Roll these douchebottles, Bears!

I don't think this one game can sink the BrownNose ship. He has too much pride to resign on a down note and he has enough political capital built up that they won't fire him for at least another couple of years. I think their AD just came out this week and said they were with BrownNose for the "long run". Which is probably about two years in Texas...
All this game can do is make the Texass fan base feel bad. Hmmm, sounds pretty good when it's put that way!

I found the fact Cal faked injuries against Oregon amusing since I never really liked Tosh and by doing that he admitted that he could not beat Oregon the legit way. The only annoying fact about the whole situation is now some dumb****s boo every defensive player who gets injured at Autzen and it drives me insane. There were a group of fans booing every defensive injury next to me during a couple games this year and I always called them out on it yet they still did it. Closest I have ever been to fighting at Autzen, but booing injuries pisses me off.
