GAME #6 vs. Georgia Bulldogs (4-2, 0-0 SEC)
Monday, Nov. 28, 6:36 p.m. (MST); Coors Events Center (11,043)
Television: FSN/ROOT Sports.
Announcers: Steve Physioc (pbp), Marques Johnson (analyst), Rebecca Haarlow (reporter)
760 KKZN: Mark Johnson (pbp), Chris Lewis (analyst)
Series vs. UGA: Georgia leads 6-1 (1-2 at Boulder; 0-4 at Athens)
CU vs. SEC:2-9; UGA defeated CU in 2010-11, 83-74. UGA has defeated CU by an average of six points in last 3 meetings since 2001.
QUICKLY: Colorado brings a 25-consecutive home game winning streak in non-conference play into tonight's game. The Buffs were 12-0 last season, 8-0 in 2009-10, and won their last four in 2008-09. The 25-game streak ranks second all-time in school history. The Buffs won 35 in a row at home from Dec. 4, 1976 thru Dec. 5, 1981 • Andre Roberson currently is averaging a double-double (10.4 ppg., 11.4 rpg.) and looking to become CU's first double-double guy since Stephane Pelle in 2001-02 (12.8 ppg., 10.8 rpg). He has eight career doubles, three this year (16 games w/ 10 or more rebounds) • Senior Austin Dufault will reach 100 career starts in his four-year career (106 overall). The 100 starts is seventh in school historyStarting Monday, Nov. 28, the Buffs will play their next 10 games in the state of Colorado, nine are at home.
LAST YEAR AT ATHENS: In the second game of the 2010-11 season, Gerald Robinson scored 21 points with six assists as Georgia broke a 33-33 halftime tie with an 83-74 win. Despite shooting only 27-of-43 (.628) from the free throw line, Georgia placed two others with 19 and 17 points. CU shot only 41.5 percent from the field. Of the CU players returning from a year ago, Austin Dufault scored 13 points with five rebounds. Last year's box score is attached at the end of the notes packet.
SERIES with GEORGIA: The Bulldogs lead the all-time series, 6-1 and won the last six in the series dating back to 1991 when CU won the first meeting at the Mile High Classic in Boulder.

Crucial game tonight for the Buffs. Getting Jeremy Adams back is a nice boost, but anything more than a marginal impact from him in his first action as a Buff would be an awesome surprise. With a tricky road test at CSU coming up next, it's very important for the Buffs to get a W in this one. While a win gets us to a respectable 4-2 with our first quality win of the season, a loss puts us at risk of falling back under .500 this week if things go badly up in Ft. Collins. There's also the revenge factor as well - had the Buffs pulled out the early season win in Athens last year, it would have been the missing link to get CU into the NCAA tournament (UGA was one of the last teams to make the field). Bottom line, this is the type of game the Buffs need to win for the program to keep gaining momentum and respect. This is a great measuring stick to start preparing ourselves for the competition we'll be facing in conference play.

The Dawgs have a solid backcourt with Fr Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (already their leading scorer at over 13ppg) and Sr Gerald Robinson (11ppg). Looks like 6'9 210 Soph Donte Williams and 6'7 225 Soph Marcus Thornton are the two we're going to need to keep off the boards, averaging 6 and 7 rebounds per game, respectively. Overall, the Dawgs have struggled offensively to start the season (60ppg and only shooting 37.9%), but have played some solid defense to get themselves victories. They're already battle tested, having just played Cal, Notre Dame and Xavier in consecutive games. This is the middle of a difficult stretch for them, with games vs Cincinnati, Georgia Tech and @Southern Cal coming up after their game in Boulder

KenPom puts the odds of us winning at 52%.

Who else will be there tonight?

BTW, tonight's game is on national tv on FSN/ROOT, so we need to get the CEC rocking tonight. If you're on the fence, get your ass down there and support the team.

AllBuffs was why your eHarmony profiles matched up, right?

Anyone goin to the dark horse before? Trying to talk my friends into going.

I haven't decided yet.

If it's windy and cold, I may be a pussy, park next to the Keg and just go to the Club Room for food & drinks pre-game.

For some reason I can't find my entire pack of season tickets. I'll probably call the ticket office and see if they can reprint.

In + 4,000 other students. Gonna get there early to get my free shirt and good seats.
Free T-Shirts! I can always use another CU t-shirt that says Colorado basketball on it. Eventually I won't have to wear anything else.

I'm in.

They can although if they don't do it ahead of time, it can take quite a few minutes when you show up.

Are you saying the CU ticket office is unprepared? Because I'm not sure I can believe such slander.

This is a huge, huge, huge game for the Buffs tonight. The Pac 12 has proven they can't win games against other conferences thus far, we need to put the standard out there that we can do so. As most know... I had the Buffs losing to Air Force, and have them losing this game also... putting another W on the board would be HUGE for our chances to put together a postseason quality non-conference resume. The issue being in the Pac 12 right now is that our SOS is going to suck because of how bad the teams are, so we'll need to win a LOT of games in order to be considered at all. The Pac is playing like a 2 bid league right now... and we aren't that far up the totem pole. I will be watching Jeremy Adams very closely tonight to see the type of player he can be, a lot of people are expecting huge things from him, I think he's a role player, I guess we'll start to find out.

At any rate, go Buffs!

Hopefully that role is preventing the other team's best guard from dropping 30 on us while he's hitting some jumpers to open the court for Dre and Carlon to get to the hole.

or maybe boxing out the opposing guards on the perimeter and shooting 90% from the stripe.
