ABOUT THE BUFFALOES: Colorado is coming off a 71-58 road win at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Nov. 16. The Buffaloes opened the season with an 84-60 home win against Northern Arizona on Nov. 11.
Colorado has shown early balance with four players averaging between 10.5 and 16 points per game and eight averaging at least five per contest. The Buffaloes are averaging 77.5 points over their first two games and shooting at solid 49 percent from the field (60-of-123).
CU's defense has held its two opponents to just 59 points per game and allowed only 33 percent shooting. The Buffaloes have forced 42 opponent turnovers through two games, and their turnover margin of plus-7 ranks at the top of the Pac-12 Conference in the early season rankings.
ABOUT THE RAMS: Colorado State is 1-2 overall, picking up its first win of the season on Nov. 17 with an 86-68 win over Tulsa at Moby Arena. The Rams are averaging 63 points per game and shooting 43 percent from the field. CSU has been solid from 3-point range, hitting on 40 percent (18-of-45) on the young season. The Rams have been prone to the turnover early on, committing just over 20 per game.
Senior guard/forward Kim Mestdagh was named the preseason Mountain West Conference Player of the Year and has been as advertised early. Mestdagh is averaging 18.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.7 rebounds per game. She is coming off a tremendous outing against Tulsa, scoring 35 points, including 7-of-9 from 3-point range. Sophomore forward Sam Martin is CSU's other double-digit scorer, averaging 13.7 points per game while shooting 52 percent from the field. Junior forward Meghan Heimstra tops the Rams in rebounding at 8.3 per game while averaging 9.0 points. She had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds against Tulsa.

This is an important game for the Buffs to win tomorrow. Might be their toughest test in the non-conference. With a win, being undefeated heading into conference play becomes a real possibility.

Kresl really sounds like she's playing at a high basketball IQ for a freshman. She's a good one.

Also, we're starting to get a lot of production from our frontcourt.

48-29 Buffs.

48-29 Buffs.

She's my new favorite player. She just rains 3's all day

60-47 Buffs with a little over 4 1/2 to go.

CSU on a 9-2 run to make it interesting.

72-53 Final. Impressive road win!

Next up: Omni Classic in Boulder. Buffs face Valparaiso 11/25, then Wisconsin/Montana State 11/26.

Way to close it out!

Nice run and great defense to end the game.

72-53 Buffs win!!!!

3-0. Next up is hosting Valpo at the Omni Hotels Classic. That should be a win. If we get it, championship game will be either Wisconsin or Montana State. We should handle either of those teams, but hope for Wisconsin due to the RPI boost from playing a Big 10 team.

Sounded like a very nicely played game from the radio broadcast. Big improvement on the FT shooting %. Balanced scoring and Chucky leading the way. I think I get to watch the tournament games online instead of just listen. Love my Lady Buffs!

Good work ladies! Looking to be our best major sport team.

I'm super late to this thread, but I couldn't help chiming in about Lexy. Obviously the first half against Northern Arizona showed what she's capable of from long range, plus Buffnik is totally right -- she seems extremely savvy. But what really stood out to me against CSU was her ability to drive and dish. She had just four assists, but each of them was pretty and showed up on the CU highlight reel -- plus she had no turnovers and went 5 for 5 from the line. What an amazing compliment to her outside shooting ability, if she can keep it up.

Great game by the whole team. It's always nice to beat CSU, and it definitely boosted my confidence in the post-Spears balanced approach.

As a side note, I saw Lauren Huggins at the past two in-state games, and she was accompanied by Jamee Swan at the Northern Arizona game. Not to be all sentimental, but it made me smile about how quickly this program is progressing.

As it should! We need a team to get back to consistent top 25 status!

It sounds like all four of our frosh should be solid contributors for years. Lexy has been amazing so far, Jen Reese has been averaging 11 & 5 and there were quite a few people in pre-season talking about how Sborov is going to be a good player for us. really hoping that Roberson comes back from her injury soon because I'd love to see what she could do.

I am with you. I want us to get back in to the rankings year in and year out, week in and week out.
