"One More Year" Chant

I said this in another thread, but I tried to start it at the UT game and nobody knew what I was talking about.
 
I was wondering why one of the students was standing there chanting, "I am queer! I am queer! I am queer!". nttawwt
 
i thought he was serenading his parents. it's kind of a CU tradition to call for that 6th year and the 2 class Spring semester, instead of that tough graddy in 5. :nod::wow:
 
I hate you guys. And no i havent gotten my jers bbads. But i will attempt to start the chant again tomorrow, sorry if it turns into stick it in her ear.
 
make signs 2. Anybody want to see an awesome student section that was built around recent success look for "The Show" at SDSU. It is pretty crazy
 
one more year chant definitely present in student section tonight, someone also tried to distribute black latex gloves to make people clap louder, and that did not catch on.
 
I don't think I would want to wear latex gloves in a sold out CEC also where's the pics of the great white tshirts?
 
I cant believe that people used the mystique and awsomeness of the "one more year" chant on Alan Kass. Now just watch, Kass will be back for another year and Burks will be in the NBA. And f**k the refs for not sending Burks to the FT line more. It was cleary a calculated strategy to hinder our ability to perform the chant.

Yes I have season tickets, you may recall from the me selling them to TG debacle. Your awfully critical of an AD with which you have very little direct game or business contact. I'd expect some one as annoyed with bohn as you to actually be with range of a game or have 1st hand experience with the atmosphere on campus these days.

I apparently have hit a nerve with you on the subject but believe me I have been to plenty of CU sporting events in my time. From 1996-2009 I went to every fb home game aswell as 1 road game per year as well as bb season tickets throughout the years. Including the communications work I have done on campus over the last 14 years I would say I'm pretty intune of what's going on on campus and not just some out of touch complainer.

Every move really? Besides the whiteout what else am I complaining about "all the time"?

I have said many times I like Mike Bohn I have met him and I'm glad he is our AD however he not beyond criticism given the performance of the ad under his watch. That being said I sure like the way things are looking up. Come by our tailgate next year for a beer and you will see I am as big a CU homer as anyone else.

If you are going to pull down D3H quotes that address the Bohn situation, you gotta go back to the Hawkins hire/fire, too.

We're in that honeymoon period with Embree. If Embree, heaven forbid, falls on his nose, then Bohn would be 0h-fer on football coaches.

He appeared to have the legs cut out from under him at the end of the 2009 season. We'd all have understood at that point if Bohn would have told DiSteph and Benson to stuff it. To his credit, Bohn stuck it out. During the Kansas game, Bohn was rumored to be an attractive candidate for the KU AD vacancy. After that tragic epic jenga collapse, Bohn wasn't exactly Mr. Popular around here. He was also not particularly loved after the Cal game by those who witnessed that travesty of a game.

The Pac 12 migration and the Embree hire has taken the heat off Bohn. We're in the honeymoon stage with these "new" Buffs. And Bohn's second chance still has to play out.

It's my opinion that hiring and coach development are two of Mike's weak spots. He didn't manage Hawkins well. Some of that is on Dan. Some of that is on Mike. It was clear that Mike doesn't have the same kind of control over his coaches that was exercised by Billotti in Oregon or Osborne in Nebraska. It would be nice to see Mike grow from a marketing guy into a full fledged AD who can hire, develop and retain talent.
 
Skiddy- I agree with your assessment wholeheartedly, Mikes done a bad job hiring coaches that win, and obviously the jury is still very-out on the three hires in 2010.

If Mike Bohn were a restaurant, would you go back based on what he has served you thus far?

We've seen Mike's new menu. All of us are crossing our fingers that the kitchen staff gets it right this time, and that the order is up before DBT forgets his password.

We've also been told by the likes of Neil Wolk that we're going to have to be patient.
The relative success of Boyle's basketball team prove that the alumni are STARVING for a winner.

At some point, Mike's AD is going to have to win some tasty championships and bring the fans some some yummy bowl games.

He needs a winner in a big way in the next 3-5 years to earn job security as a great AD.

I stand by all those comments. The last one is a little harsh, but that was in the AZ scoop of the Embree hire which was before the announcement of the coaching staff and I wasnt the only one having a WTF? moment.

I think we as fans and alumni should demand more from our AD, I agree with Mac that CU is a gold mine and the AD is not living up to that standard.

I will continue call out Mike Bohn when necessary until we start winning.

If the AD were a restaurant theres a good chance it would have been shut down by the health dept.
