One of Cal's captains is graduating early so that he can transfer......

At least we don't have to worry about people going to our rival unless they wish to study sheep ****ing.

crushed again.

but, you can't really blame the guy for choosing to leave cal for stanford. he probably wanted to get a job if football doesn't work out.
 
He's not graduating early. He's just graduating and got into his grad program. Football continues to be his ticket to education.
 
What's crazy, is this kid obviously got into Stanford coming out of high school, but felt it just wasn't a great fit, so he went to Cal instead.

This is a dangerous precedent for Cal, a kid gets into Stanford thinks it isnt a good fit goes to Cal (like pretty much all of them do) then realizes he doesnt really like Cal, that it wasnt a good fit, and goes to Furd. They could lose half the freshman class.

Having kids graduate from their institution and get accepted to prestigious grad programs, in this case MSE at Furd, another graduate this year will start his MBA at ND, is actually not bad. It's painful, but it's also a complete 180 for how the academics of the team were going just recently.

Also, this is some excellent rationalization. I see the acceptance phase came quickly for some Cal grads.

It's the only sane rationalization. Getting accepted to a top 3 engineering graduate school should trump just about everything.

Baloney! Pure rationalization! Masters in Engineering isn't worth much, unless you want to teach at the college/grad school level.

You can make a very fine living with a BS degree in almost all forms of engineering; what an engineer wants is a PE designation, you don't need grad school for that.

Start on an MBA would have been better!
