One of the best hoops wins I have ever seen

I'm still bouncing, so this might be hyperbole.

But that was an amazing game. Everything was against the Buffs.

KSU has been there before.
KSU had home court advantage playing in Kansas City.
KSU was fresher since they didn't play yesterday.
KSU got so many calls from the refs that the announcers couldn't help chiming in.

But we hung. We fought. We kicked their asses down the stretch. We won by 12 ****ing points!

Fight CU, down the court!

You nailed it 'Nik. I got football superstitious today, meaning I was sitting at the computer watching the thread and we were closing them out. We get up by 8 with 45 seconds to go, so I figure I can get up and fully focus - Pullen hits the three then my boys yell at me to get back to the computer!

This is just awesome - we finally have ourselves a BB coach and we're dancin'! Boyle's really got something going.

That was a great game. Glad I got to see the end of it. I really do need to pay more attention to CU Hoops. Sadly, I was a Buff when footballers were gods and bballers were not. The Harrington era was bad bad bad.

It would be awesome to beat the gheyhawks tomorrow.

If you win the big 12 tourney do you extend Tad?

No. But you're talking to boosters and you are prepared to step up with a new deal if another AD tries to poach him. CU really needs to wait until after next season and we have weathered the financial storm of switching conferences.

that was an awesome win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO BUFFS!

espn3 at work FTMFW too!

Relative to where this team was a month or so ago, this borders on the incredible. The way they responded to some adversity, especially in the middle of the season really is a tribute to the character of the players and the work of the coaching staff. I'm not a huge BB guy, but I'm really proud of my Buffs today. This kind of positive energy surrounding our athletics has been missing for a long time. Hopefully we can keep that feeling.

how about where we were even a week ago?

Definitely the best I've seen this team play in some time....Actually having Burks AND Higgins play terrific together makes this team pretty damn good....and I couldn't be more excited about Andre BEAST MODE Roberson

Still could use some help elsewhere but solid minutes by Javon Coney today and Relphorde picked it up a bit....

Hopefully we can keep it gelling for a few more weeks!!! :smile2: :gobuffs:

Add in a visit to the NCAA tourney. I think Tad should get extended. I wonder what Buzz thinks.

I'd imagine that Bz is happy for his former players. It's not like his players hated him...nor did he hate CU.

As for Tad getting extended...NO...NO...NO! This is still really Bz's program, and we need to see what he does on his own. What are Cain and Dinwiddie made of? Did he find gems in Scott and Gordon or is he full of himself and his ability to coach talent up?

He's a classy guy I am sure. I just meant it in terms of the "gosh look what my kids are doing. should I have stayed?" factor. Those moves are always more about money than anything else so I cant blame him for that. He'll have plenty to time to watch the tourney (8-24/1-15).

I understand what you are trying to say, but I totally disagree with the bolded part. Yes, all of the players (other than Roberson) were recruited by Bzz. However, I think Tad got them to a higher level this year. That they all bought into the new system, and were relatively successful as well, is a testament to Bzz, the players, and Boyle (and his staff). I agree that we need to see a couple more years of recruiting and results to finally say that we have a great coach, but I think he has us on the right track heading to the Pac-12.

I was sure we would lose, but watched anyway (sorta watched - had to work too). Very impressed with the shooting and grit. KU tomorrow. Can we upset?

Roberson is playing out of his mind in this tourney. Talk about a kid getting better as the year goes on... He is gonna be a beast for us!

You believe Bzz is a "class guy?" That isn't my perception.

No doubt. The dunk in the first half and the blocked shot toward the end of the game both sent a statement.

Could not agree more with the thread. Was watching the game at BWW and there were some very happy people at the end. Real gritty win and several players stepped up when we needed plays. But goddamn, way to go Higgins, he was a beast today. Beating a quality team three times in one years is impressive.
