Longest off season in recent memory, as we've been down and out, but we have reason for optimism. The optimism lies in youth, and not being able to see them yet has been driving me crazy. Really excited about these kids, and about the culture that the staff is holding the team to. We will have some ups and downs, win some games that we shouldn't and give some away that we shouldn't. I'm just hoping for a bowl game and to avoid getting stomped all season... Ok, USC and/or Oregon will probably mudhole us, but it's the other 10 games that will determine our season.

We have learned the hard way that we're not a sacred cow program, and that it is entirely dependent upon ourselves to scratch and claw our way back to respectablility. We know that when we're down, others like to kick us. We know that when we're down, others like to act like we shouldn't have a football program. We know how ludicrous this notion is. We know from our history that, when we're in the national conversation, this can be an extraordinary program, and football can be incredibly fun and passionate.

1,2,3 Bowl Game

PS - We have a 1 game home winning streak, a 1 game road winning streak, a 1 game neutral site winning streak, and a 1 game conference winning streak.

This has been the worst offseason since the HaLkins lameduck year of 2010. This year has been kind of boring, but that year was angry.

That adds up to a 4 game winning streak! Not bad after a 3 and 10 season :)

This team will be such a mystery until the 1st game. I really don't know what to expect. We could have the worst year ever or make a bowl game. I just don't know how to predict this season when we'll have so many 1st and 2nd year players contributing on top of the fact we have no idea who the QB is yet. That being said, I can't wait to see how all of our scouting and critiquing of these prospects will translate on the field.

I think wins will be of lesser importance to me than seeing our youth's potential. I really hope to see some young guys flash the ability to help this team break out the next few years.

it will be interesting to see how much info we get out of practices, with them being closed it could be a quiet for another month. i know thorburn tweeted that he will be camped outside the fences trying to get interviews after practices, we'll see how much info he gets.

does anybody know how they plan to actually close them? that south side entrance to the practice facility is a rod iron fence, are they going to block that off somehow?

I'm pretty sure its already blocked and has been for a few years.

So, how much information are we going to get out of camp? Drips and drabs? Are they going to allow any press in at all? Will there be Allbuff spies?

Got to hand it to BuffZone fellas for keeping our eyes on basketball so we won't be reminded that we have a football team that is struggling.

I've been so desperate for college football I watch reruns from last season on ESPNU. Did you know USC beat Oregon in Eugene last year?
