That's a tough draw for Baylor. Wolters is a very nice guard who can break a team down, they've got excellent shooters, and they're disciplined. Baylor's length might be too much for SDSU, though. SDSU has nothing inside.

Yup, they've definitely got a shooters chance. If Baylor comes out shaky and SDSU keeps it close, look out. Seth Davis is picking SDSU for the upset, FWIW.

1. Belmont (Midwest 14): They’re efficient, well-coached and experienced. Georgetown isn’t the best matchup for the Bruins, but it’s better than Wisconsin last year.

2. Montana (East 13): Now, Wisconsin this year is extremely vulnerable. The Badgers lost to Iowa twice. The Grizz went 1-1 against tournament teams.

3. South Dakota State (South 14): The Jackrabbits can run with Baylor, beat Washington by 19 and have a legit scoring stud in guard Nate Wolters.

1. Connecticut (South 9): Kemba Walker isn’t coming through that door. Don’t pick a team a year late. Not the same team, not by a long shot.


2. Baylor (South 3): Stayed in the headlines by opening 17-0, but hadn’t beaten anyone good until a Big 12 semifinal upset of Kansas. Pretty weak for a 3 seed in an otherwise difficult bracket.

I'll be honest, it makes me a little uncomfortable when Nik says things like "Baylor's length might be too much for SDSU". I know it's childish, but it still sounds odd.

Not new, to me at least. It is height, wingspan, and quickness together. Has to do with rebounding (specifically offense) and defense in closing up driving and passing lanes. Dre and Spencer are our only players with those three things.
