Orange Bowl Prediction Time...

with everyone (in the media) so Stanford and Harbaugh gung-ho and the UM or NFL speculation, this feels like a game where VT might show up more ready to play....something to prove after dropping off the national radar since week 2.

What is that dam thing on Beamer's neck? Crap I want to stick a pin in it and see what oozes out. Stanford wins cuz they are smarter and score more points.

I'd truly be shocked, but I wouldn't say it's not possible.

The thing is, I think Stanford is as good as anyone in the country right now. This is their title game.

FWIW, which is probably nothing, all these guys on ESPN picked VT in the upset. They mostly cited all the distractions surrounding Harbaugh as their reason. :huh:
 
ESPN analysts still don't follow Pac football. Their opinions (on the Pac) are not half as strong as a local sports reporters...

The Orange Bowl was the original of the gaudy halftime shows, I remember their halftimes were like 30-40 minutes back when the New Year's Day bowl games still had their luster. You could see the tire tracks on the field from the floats after halftime. :lol:

those things were absolutly horrible and my mother always loved them. :lol: next to the rose parade, that was her favorite part of NYD. it was torture when i was young. then, i discovered booze. didnt bother me as much anymore.....
 
The Goo Goo Dolls are doing the halftime show? What they expect a bunch of women to be at the game or something? LAME.

Pretty decent game so far. I really like the way Stanford plays with their mostly-traditional style offense instead of the spread/5-wide receiver crap that it seems everyone is running. If he could actually reintroduce the fullback into Denver's offense than I'm all for him coming to Denver. Tyrod Taylor has had a couple of spectacular plays so far, particularly that touchdown pass. And this is no surprise, 2 big plays by VT's special teams so far.
