Apparently Osbourne had a press conference to whine about the Big 12. While I know we all hate Beebe (bebe? the girl from southpark) and the Tex 10, Osborne just sounded like a bratty 8 year old.

First when asked by the press why Bebe wouldn't be at the Colorado game to give out the B12 N trophy Osborne says
"He is not coming because of safety reasons." So they call Bebe and he tells them about the death threats.
Now Osborne says he is upset that Bebe made the threats public. What the **** was he supposed to do after Osborne gives the press that lead.

Second he goes on to whine that the Big Tex kept them out of the insight bowl an forced them into the Holiday bowl. And that is why they lost to Washington.

Amazing, you think he would at least try to have a little class as a new AD in the Big 10. Oh wait I guess he is just trying to blend in.
 
This is why I don't want Plati to air the dirty laundry.

Finding ways to leak certain things is something I'm on board with, but not a direct quote from our SID. We do need to get our story out, though.

I just reread the article and I remembered something else. The reason they played in the Holiday Bowl is because they were playing like **** towards the end of the season. Which you can see from the result against Washington

near as i can tell, the whining starts at the top and goes all the way to the bottom with NU fan this year (feel free to allocate more). if their preferred "narrative" is Dr. Tom "stuck it to Texas" with the Big Ten move....then, why does stuff like this appear?

the innocence and virtue of NU is never to be questioned. they are always the greatest.....and ready with an excuse.

and the local media, Lincoln and Omaha papers will bang the drum all day. and since they don't have pro writers or an urban area with multiple media sporting commitments or a neighboring rival....it's all the Bugeaters read and their "world" is reconfirmed to them (however fantastical as it may be).

Sorry I have to call you out! This thread is complete crap with the way it is going so far. The source article you link to is way off base. The author seems to have plagiarized from an article printed in the Chicago Tribune where Tom Osborn was interviewed.

T.O. did dance around the Bowl game issue and "Mr. Big Texas" Dan Beebe's possible involvement in the Bowl selection process. T.O. said what he could without being to direct with his opinions. But who would do it any different?

The interview seems fair and in no way comes off like the ESPN, David Ubben Blog. If I was just reading the text, I would think it came from The Bleacher Report.

I don't know how to phrase it, but I wish I had a button where it [Surveyor] could just go down into the cement and then if there was a rare occasion where someone wanted to take a picture with it, they could push a button and it would pop right up.
