Just one BCS level game left before the bowls start up.

This year the traditional confrontation between Army (8-3) and Navy (3-8) will happen at MetLife Stadium in beautiful New Jersey. Might think about giving the players credit for being in a combat zone for this one.

FCS Playoffs continue. I'll let @Jalepeno fill in the details but three regional schools are still alive. North Dakota State, South Dakota State and Montana State all look to advance Saturday, Montana was eliminated Friday night.

Big game for local fans. Mines is at Valdosta state looking to go to the semis in the national championship tourney.

And somehow Nebraska fans still think they had a good football team this year.
 
Eastern Tennessee is hanging in there with ND State, down only 13-0 in mid 3rd QTR, but they will lose. Geebus, NDSU has some LARGE and talented players.

Against anyone else Army would be better.

Navy though is prepared for everything Army throws at them. These schools see each others offense in practice every week of the season unlike their other opponents who have to make the adjustment in one week.

Add the emotion involved and you get games that are much closer than it would look on paper.
 
That fourth down play, Navy dodged a bullet. That dude yanked the Army QBs helmet off, obviously, it wasn't seen.

@MtnBuff mentioned FCS playoffs. NDSU & SDSU won today in addition to JMU. Montana State goes to Hunstville, TX to take on SHSU and it's begining in 15 minutes.

I'm sure there will be FCS programs that step up to fill in the void that JMU & SHSU will be leaving behind but I would not be surprised even if JMU or SHSU wins the FCS NC, there will be another run of NCs by at least one Dakota school.

Yep, it was post game. The way he was aligned, he was pretty tight to the formation, it looked like. If they called it on the sideline, he didn't hear it from his comments. If the snapper made a sight adjustment, like they're coming, it's like he didn't hear that either. It doesn't really matter, dude made the play. It doesn't happen like that very often though.
 
I post this every year (and it’s true every year), but if you get the chance to attend an Army/Navy game, don’t miss it. Probably the best game atmosphere I’ve ever experienced, and that’s even with no rooting interest in the game.
 
My neighbor is Army. He regularly flies an Army flag on his house. The flagstaff literally broke in the wind on Saturday after the game.

Yes - I gave him additional **** on Sunday.

@MtnBuff You going to give us an "other games" bowl season edition?

I'd planned on it. Should be getting out of this hospital within another day or two.

May be less detailed than a normal weekly because the bowls are already well publicized but it will give people a place to post about the games.

Hard to say anything more insulting than the fact that a school is already in the Jimmy Kimmel bowl
