Maybe the Boise myth is on it's way to being exposed. They aren't going to any bowl bigger than the Las Vegas this year.

Boise getting blasted by a decent but not great BYU team right now 24-3.

I wonder if this helps us with some recruits. Boise sells winning against playing in a BCS conference, now it is going to be harder for them to sell winning big after this year.

Also doesn't bode well for the MWC with Boise as their flagship. MWC didn't win much this year against BCS conference teams and now are going to have a hard time promoting Boise, their hopes like on a Fresno team making some noise.

For the first time in a decade, they missed on a QB. Does that mean we will hit on a QB for the first time in a decade soon ...?
 
Should I go to the CSU-Hawaii game wearing full Buffs gear? That would be my only reason for going to the game....
 
Boise is still good. But they peaked and what they were accomplishing was not sustainable. Not sure I'm happy about tonight's score, though. I really dislike BYU.

It's in our interest for neither to experience any major success. At this point, it's probably good Boise lost as it continues to take the luster off of them. Certainly don't want BYU being anything special, though. Hope recruits at BYU know the only bowl game they can ever go to if they don't make a BCS bowl is the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl due to their perpetual tie-in (already accepted a bid tonight).

I dislike BYU as well and it never bothers me to see them lose.

On the other hand it seems like we spend much more time going head to head with Boise for recruits. Boise losing it's luster as a "BCS buster" and media darling and sliding down into being looked at as one of the best of a bad bunch (MWC) would help us when we recruit against them.

BYU falling on its face wouldn't bother me but generally we aren't recruiting against them as much. Both schools occasionally come into Colorado for kids but the kids that go to BYU are kids that would go there either way due to LDS connections.
 
I know we are both minuta in schools in neighboring states but i just dont think we regularly lose recruits to byu.

They are a hard core religious school which punishes athletes for premarital sex while requiring taking a 1 yr mission while cu is regularly ranked a top party school in the nation

Maybe 1 kid per year is really in play for both of us

Therefore i prefer bsu to drop moré than byu
 
Yep, loved watching BSU get exposed as just another decent non BCS team on national TV last night. Welcome to the real college football world Boise. They will probably start getting sparse crowds just because the expectations are so sky high there.

I think the big thing that has changed at Boise State was the firing of AD Gene Bleymaier a couple years ago. 30 years on the job and the architect of everything that went on there. I didn't know this, but "Clean Gene" was hired at San Jose State last May and HCMM worked with him for a year.
 
Minnesota playing the fuskers tough at home. Down 10-7 right now, but they've got the momentum and have missed a couple chances at big plays that would have put them up....

I would love that. Miami got an emotional win over Florida (who sucks) that was more about it being the last game in the series after UF dropping the Canes. Miami and Michigan are very similar this year (Michigan's "marquee" win was Notre Dame in similar circumstances). I don't think either UM would go .500 in the Pac-12 this year.

Miami looking ahead to FSU next week, a game they'll lose by 35
 
Blows my mind that Miami is undefeated #7 in the country and it looks like there are maybe 20k at a home conference game.
 
Miami is proof that if you live in a very rich recruiting area you can have a good team. I wonder how good their facilities are.
 
Virginia was down 14-10 before half and driving. At the 2 yard line, run and get stuffed at the 1 with 12 seconds left. Let clock run down to 6 seconds and take last timeout. Then, instead of taking FG or very quick pass, they run up the middle and get stuffed and the clock runs out. London is in WAY over his head.
