All games Saturday, August 26th:

12:30pm - Oregon State at Colorado State (CBSSN)
1:00pm - Portland State at BYU (ESPN)
4:00pm - Hawaii at UMass (no tv)
5:30pm - #19 USF at San Jose State (CBSSN)
8:00pm - #14 Stanford vs Rice in Sydney (ESPN)

Stanford starting really slow... took three plays to drive 75 yards for the opening TD.

Yuck. Stanford-Rice game is off to a horrible start. Rice is really, really bad.

Rice has always been bad. Funny that they have a stadium that hosted a Super Bowl.

Have to give them some credit...less than 10k undergrad enrollment

And while it is only Rice, Bryce Love is showing how good he can be as a starting RB. Very good player.

For sure. If they get a split, they're in the driver's seat.

October schedule definitely is softer.

I think their offense is going to be very good, still a little unsure on their defense being elite.

I love Stanford this year. I think they're the Pac-12 playoff team.

I like Stanford's chances against USC. Stanford will have two weeks to prep for USC.

A pretty well written article by Mark Schlabach with "Bold Predictions" for 2017.

I thought most of the positions were well thought out - this one was just funny.
5. We won't hear about Lane Kiffin after Week 2
It seems like we can't go a week without hearing or reading something about Kiffin, but his novelty will wear off after Florida Atlantic opens the season against Navy at home and Wisconsin on the road. After the Badgers rout the Owls 59-10 to drop their record to 0-2, the only place you'll find Kiffin's name is in the weekly Bottom 10
