Weekend to look forward to. First the Buffs pound UCLA Thursday night then we get to enjoy the rest of the teams over the rest of the weekend.
Buffs get the national stage Thursday, not much of note on Friday.
Saturday.
In match-ups of top 25 teams we get #1 Alabama visiting #13 LSU. I'd love to see Bama go down but don't think it is going to happen here
We also get to see #10 Nebraska visit #6 Ohio State. The sham that is fuskers football in 2016 is about to get exposed. Urban is still mad about losing to Penn State and this is his opportunity to make waves with the voters. This one will be close, , , for maybe 1/2 a quarter.
Some other games to watch
#18 Oklahoma State goes to 5-3 unranked Kansas State. Kitties have been a bit down but Snyder can still coach. After a big win last week Okie Lite needs to be careful of this one.
Also potential upsets
#21 North Carolina host 5-3 Georgia Tech
#12 Penn State host 5-3 Iowa
Florida State is struggling and ranked #22 on the road against a 4-4 North Carolina State team.
AFA visits West Point for their annual battle against Army. Both teams 5-3 and AFA struggling of late but in service academy games you can throw out the records. AFA wins and they accomplish their #1 goal, the CIC trophy.
In the boat race of the week Kansas gets to visit a West Virginia team still smarting from losing last week to Okie Lite. Kansas is just bad and this one could be ugly early.
In the games involving teams we like to see lose
4-4 Texas is at 4-4 Texas Tech. Will the Raiders speed up Charlies departure from Austin?
How much fun would it be to see 5-2 Navy beat 3-5 Notre Dame again. Remember when some of the Irish suck ups in the media were predicting pre-season that ND would be in the play-off. They are in serious danger of not qualifying for a bowl.
Locally CSU should have a fairly easy time hosting a Fresno team that has only managed to win one game all year.
Resurgent Wyoming coming off their biggest win in years over ranked and previously undefeated Boise gets 3-5 Utah State in Laramie. Bohl is to good a coach to let them have a let down.
5-3 Northern Colorado host the 7-2 Fighting Flounders of North Dakota
Small Colleges
RMAC leader Colorado Mesa host South Dakota Mines
Colorado Mines host Adams State
CSU-Pueblo with a disappointing 6-3 season hosts Dixie State after being stripped of last years conference championship for playing two players later determined to not meet academic progress standards.
