Weekend starting with (6)Baylor visiting KjSU. Baylor already up. Does old man Snyder have one more big upset in him before he rides off into the sunset. This one might be it.

Starting to get to crunch time.
(16) Free Shoes University might be the last big threat to (1) Clemson on the way to the playoffs.
(8) TCU visits (14) Okie Light, one less unbeaten will remain after this one
Biggest game of the day has (2) LSU travelling to (4) Bama. A loss here might be enough to get Bama out of the minds of the committee.

Entertaining for Buffs fans should be watching what (7) and still in the hunt for a playoff Michigan State does to a reeling fuskers team, this time in Stinkoln in front of 70,000 unhappy polyester wearing classy fans.

Locally the big event is Army visiting AFA. a spectacle worth seeing even if you aren't a fan of either team.

The Sheep should finally get a win visiting a terrible Wyoming team.

Small schools has a battle for first place with Mesa visiting CSU-Pueblo

Miss St @ Mizzou has potential tonight. I think Baylor rolls, but I don't think I've watched 10 minutes of Big XII football this year.

Gotta be an ACC homer and root for Clemson. Really good for the conference to have a national contender not named Florida State. How is this a 3:30 ET game? I guess nobody wants to compete with LSU/Bama.

Also curious how Duke comes back at Carolina this week.

Agree about AFA -- went to that game two years ago and had a blast. Falcon Stadium looks like a fantastic family football experience and I've only ever been to one stadium with better views.

Pitt coach putting up bb material calling out ND for not being in a conference. This will be the Irish's last test before going to Stanford in the final week of the season.

@MtnBuff, you're doing a great job with these; like the local focus.

I hope you guys are right.

Bama is loaded with talent but when I have seen them this year they don't look like one of those special Bama teams. Fournette is a difference maker and LSU has other talent as well. Looks like Les should come out ahead this time in a battle of two excellent coaches.

Hokie, thanks. I enjoy looking at these games and starting to think to the weekend.

LOL ... Mizzou just scored their first TD in 30 days! And we thought we had problems. :)

Bailer held on, **** them btw. Where do they find all these qbs? That dude was a true freshman and didn't play like one, he could spin it.

Other games of interest (at least to me ... and others may want to keep tabs on in between the biggest games of the weekend):

Temple at SMU (Tonight @6pm MT ESPN2) ... yeah, SMU sucks, but does Temple have a letdown after a close loss to ND?

Iowa at Indiana (Sat. @1:30pm MT ESPN) ... trap game for Iowa? Indiana can play good teams tough (e.g., tOSU) and just how good or overrated is Iowa?

Rutgers at Michigan (Sat. @1:30 MT BTN) ... Michigan needs to win out to even have a chance at the B1G title (also need two MSU losses and to beat tOSU) and like Indiana, Rutgers has been known to play good teams tough.

Navy at Memphis (Sat. @5pm MT ESPN2) ... just how good is Memphis? They could be tested by a triple option team that is very difficult to prepare for in just a week.

Mich St. at Nebraska (Sat. @5pm MT ESPN) ... is there a way both teams could lose? Absent that ... do I lose my Buff fan cred if I pull for the upset here (Michigan needs it ... and I look at it more that I'm rooting against Sparty than for those other guys).

It is never ok to root for Nebraska. Even when they were the 1st opponent to visit Ped State after the scandal broke, it wasn't ok to root for Nebraska.

The only acceptable solution in this situation is to cheer for a well placed giant meteor to hit the field as both teams are warming up.

Yep. Hope Sparty destroys the Nubs while the red polyesters watch in continued horror.

Entertaining game right now between Temple and SMU. Looked like Temple was going to run away with it jumping out 14-0. SMU then ran off 17 to take a lead, now Temple has answered for a 21-17 lead. Some seriously good catches in the game from both sides.

No worry. You may as well start the party. The Nubs are going to get killed. The fans are beyond horror this season, and just short of suicide.

Temple's defense isn't playing up to their normal standard. Emotionally drained after last week, probably. That's a problem when the offense is poor.

As much as I say I don't care about ****braska, and I now wear red on occasion, I still find myself basking in their misery each Saturday. **** ****braska.

3vand 18 and crawley gets burned, can't have that. Defense has to get that 3rd down stop there.

For those fed up with CU football today ... FYI Vandy is up on Sparkles 7-6 with 7 and a half to go in the 4th!

I see Vandy and Florida are engaged in a battle that further proves the SEC´s depth, greatness and superiority over other conferences.
