Put everything concerning coaching changes with the other 11 Pac 12 teams in here, please.

I figure it might be a good idea to have 2 seperate threads as a third of the conference and half of our division is in all likelihood going to have a new coach in charge next season and we don´t want to have things that directly concern CU lost in a thread with the coaching change at West Georgia Tech State.

They should go after Peterson.

Easy move for his staff and he already has a foothold on recruiting in the region

I don't know ... now that Boise is going to a BCS conference I think the Wazzu job might be a step down for him.

Even if Boise doesn't go to the Big East, I think WSU would be a step down for him. I think he would take UCLA first.

Is Boise for sure going to the Big East? I thought they were waivering since there seems to be instability in the conference

It's surprising because that's Wulff's highest conference and overall win total there. Unless they lose the momentum with graduation and they're not satisfied with the 2012 verbals he has thus far. It seems like Bill Doba just put it on cruise control once Price left and that got them to where they are now with another coaching change. But they've won there before though in small bursts so I'd be curious who could come to Pullman and be the miracle worker.

WSU fired Wolff?

Not official as of right now, but it seems to be a done deal. I think he deserved another year - Wazzu tossing away another recruiting class is literally the last thing that program needs right now, as they've just gotten themselves to the brink of being competitive in the Pac. Wazzu showed some life at the end of last year, and continued to build on that success this year. They should have given him a shot at getting the Cougs to 6-6 next year imo

Probably not a good thing for Wazzu that the Mike Leach stuff is already out there either. Major problem if it blows up in their face because HC candidates are not exactly flocking to Pullman.

OTOH, the Leach rumors may be a smokescreen for them to make a run at Bellotti since he and the AD are tight.

With half our division likely replacing coaches next year, there is no reason NOT to shoot for worse than 2nd or 3rd in the south next year.

Was there something announced earlier in the season that said Oregon State would be going with Mike Riley another year? They seem to be headed in the wrong direction and fast.

Popular memory of Mike Leach has his results at Texas Tech being a lot better than they actually were. His dream season, 2008, was a Cotton Bowl blowout loss to Ole Miss. Aside from that, it was a cluster**** of 7-5 Galleryfurniture.com Bowl seasons. Obviously his offense can give us fits, but I'm not ready to **** my pants if he takes a job in the Pac.

Riley is definitely safe for now. They won't part with the man that resurrected Beav football after only two disappointing seasons. Even if they wanted to, it's not an option given the contract situation

The South division recruiting battles have gotten a lot more interesting.
Embree and company should be in discussion for 2nd or 3rd best 2012 class.
Not only does CU have early playing time to sell, but also relative stability when compared to schools going through regime change.

Petersen, Cincy's Jones and Sumlin early names for fUCLA...and I agree with CVille, the Pirate Master made a living off of going 3-0 against an OOC that would make Snyder blush, and then would go 3-5 or 4-4 in the B12 and declare victory with an appearance ion some cheesy bowl...Leach would not be an automatic threat to the P12.

More relavent: He was 0-2 vs Dan Hawkins.

He is not a good coach.

Erickson and Rick have both been formally fired, but will coach the remaining games this season.
