Does Jerrett see a drop in minutes coming? He has the diverse skill set that the NBA likes, but I think it would be a bad move for him despite the fact that Gordon will take some of his minutes.

I've been on the AZ boards, it does seem like that is his concern. Like Dre, he seems to have somebody that is telling him he can be a first rd pick.

I think Jarrett would be making a huge mistake by jumping now. He's really soft for an NBA 4. That would be a pretty big blow for Arizona though, losing a versatile big like that.

Well the blow could be softened for Arizona. Lots of smoke on multiple AZ boards around Mike Moser going to AZ instead of UW if Jarrett leaves.

UDub fans would melt down if that happened. And honestly, I'm not sure I completely understand it from Moser's side. AZ will be the better team, but he's going to be fighting for minutes with 3 or 4 quality bigs there. I would think a kid like that would be looking to showcase himself and play big minutes his senior year.

Doesn't some team on the east coast or Big 12 need Moser? We don't need him in the Pac 12.

What Moser should do is come to CU if Dre opts for the NBA.

Surprised that Dwight Powell isn't projected as a higher pick had he declared. 6'10 235 with freak athleticism and good production (15 points, 8 rebounds per game), seems like he should be a sure-fire lottery pick. Reminds me of Blake Griffin.

Every year there is 1-2 freshmen that leave early and end up going in the 2nd round. Looks like Jerrett will be one of those kids this year.

Definitely a puzzling decision from Grant... From what I hear he is receiving terrible advice from Eric Cooper SR. Oh well it is what it is and I wish him luck. Good thing we have the depth to take a loss like this.

So is Cooper Sr now on a crusade against AZ after Jackson-Cartwright committed? I don't see any way this can be in Jarrett's best interest.

If that is what's going on it doesn't make much sense. Not to be rude but Cooper JR isn't in PJC's league. It's disgusting how these "advisers" never have the best interest of the kid in mind. Cooper SR couldn't hack it at the U of A and transferred out. He claims that was the worst mistake of his life but it doesn't seem much has changed since then. He better stay away from McKale

Dewayne Dedmon of USC has declared.

Maybe he had a bad taste in his mouth after being suspended. Maybe he doesn't like what he heard from Enfield. Doubt he will be drafted early or at all. I can see him becoming a pro somewhere, and this not having much of a negative impact for the Trojans.

I have a hard time seeing how this doesn't have a negative impact on USC. Terrell and Wesley are the only returning players who scored more than him last year and he's their primary big. An athletic seven footer who can give you 7 and 7 in 20 minutes is a valuable commodity. I don't think it ruins their season, but it will have an impact.

I agree we aren't far apart on our opinions. I just think his production will be replaced and his off-the-court issues wont be missed. Omar Oraby will return (I think) and he put up 6 and 4 with 2 blocks in just 14.6 minutes per game this past season.

Not that he played this season or anything, but former Oregon Ducks guard Brett Kingma appears to now be leaving Washington St. after playing as a walk-on this season. Article here.
