Cal - I mean...everyone is hyped up so much already. Ivan Rabb is a beast though.
Colorado - Dominique Collier (shocker)
Oregon - Chris Boucher
Oregon State - Steven Thompson Jr.
Stanford - Johnny Dawkins. I haven’t seen a coach on their sideline in a decade.
UCLA - Jonah Bolden
USC - Julian Jacobs
Utah - Kyle Kuzma
Washington - Marquese Chriss
Washington State - I mean...it’s three guys. We know them, right?

Tyler Ziskin - BuffStampede.com
Arizona - Gabe York. He will need to be a consistent threat for the Wildcats to win the conference. He hasn't shown that ability in conference play yet but someone has to take the reigns in that backcourt.

Arizona State - Tra Holder. College hoops is a PG driven sport and few have improved as quickly as he has.

Cal - Jaylen Brown. Cal doesn't have much depth but they know what they're getting night in and night out from their other starters. Brown must develop a well rounded game for the Bears to exceed their preseason high hopes.

Colorado - Josh Fortune. He's come a "Josh of all trades"... If he can consistently pour in outside shots and continue to mold himself into the Buffs best perimeter player this team will finish top 6 in the Pac-12.

Oregon - PG Dylan Ennis. He is now back in the lineup, perfect timing for a ducks team poised to make a big run in conference play.

Oregon State - Gary Payton II. Boring pick but simply put this team goes as he goes.

Stanford - Reid Travis is the guy here. They haven't been getting enough from the highly touted big man who hasn't been able to hit FTs or avoid turning the ball over.

UCLA - Tony Parker is finally ready to lead this team. Averaging a double double isn't easy in college and with this kid on the floor UCLA is especially dangerous.

USC - Julian Jacobs. One of my favorite players in the Pac-12 and arguably the most underrated. He does it all for this team.

Utah - Brandon Taylor. His reliance on Delon Wright quickly became apparent this season. He needs to find a bigger role on the team for this program to reach expectation this season.

Washington - Dejounte Murray. You probably haven't heard of him, but you will. This kid is as versatile as anyone in the conference and is super fun to watch.

Washington State - Ike Oroegbu. The speedy undersized guard has completely transformed his game since coming to college and is a legit threat.

Buffnik - AllBuffs
Arizona - Ryan Anderson, the BC transfer has more than filled the void left at forward

Arizona State - Tra Holder, makes everything go for ASU

Cal - Jordan Matthews, not the headline guy, but the guy who can open up the court with his shooting

Colorado - Dom Collier, his development as a front line PG will determine how good the Buffs are this year

Oregon - Dillon Brooks, leading team in scoring and hasn't even found his stroke yet

Oregon State - Gary Payton II, most important player to his team in the conference

Stanford - Rosco Allen, very solid senior front court guy who efficiently does it all for Furd

UCLA - Thomas Welsh, when he gets it going in the post (UNLV & Kentucky), Bruins become elite

USC - Jordan McLaughlin, maybe the highest upside PG in the Pac-12

Utah - Jakob Poeltl, the key to Utah's success every game this year, it goes through him

Washington - Andrew Andrews, all-name team and I've loved his game for a while

Washington State - Josh Hawkinson, very impressive post player in a year with a lot of good bigs in the
Pac-12

Goose - AllBuffs

Cal - Pick a frosh by game Rabb/Brown
Colorado - J40
Oregon - Tyler Dorsey... what could have been...
Oregon State - Gary Payton Jr.
Stanford - Dorian Pickens
UCLA - Thomas Welsh – ohh that mid-range game
USC - Jordan McLaughlin
Utah - Jakob Poeltl
Washington - Andrew Andrews
Washington State - Josh Hawkinson

CVilleBuff - AllBuffs
Arizona - Ryan Anderson
Arizona State - Tra Holder
Cal - Ivan Rabb -- He's a special piece on a freakishly athletic Cal squad. Seems to have a special knack for offensive rebounds from what I saw against UVA.

Colorado - Josh Scott
Oregon - Dillon Brooks
Oregon State - Gary Payton Jr.
Stanford - Rosco Allen
UCLA - Bryce Alford
USC - Katin Reinhardt
Utah - Jakob Poetl
Washington - Andrew Andrews
Washington State - Josh Hawkinson -- Wazzu struggles, but keep an eye on Hawkinson. He's completely overlooked.

Surprise Riser Team in Pac-12?

Adam Munsterteiger - BuffStampede.com - Oregon State

Jake Shapiro - BSNDenver.com - USC

Ryan Koenigsberg - BSNDenver.com - USC

Will Whelan - BuffStampede.com - I think this is the year USC makes teams pay for those close games they’ve lost, but if it has to be a surprise, it’s Arizona State. The fighting Bobby Hurley’s are tough as hell.

Tyler Ziskin - BuffStampede.com - Arizona State. They've quickly put together arguably the best resume of any bubble team in the Pac12 and I'm very impressed with the early returns on Bobby Hurley. This team plays hard, and they will absolutely beat a few teams they shouldn't in Pac12 play.

Buffnik - AllBuffs - Oregon State

Goose - AllBuffs - Oregon State

Rumblin - AllBuffs - USC - The Pac-12 is very deep this year, but most of those involved are familiar faces. Even Oregon State showed they had a pule last season, before a tough final stretch stunted their growth. The Trojans, however, have been a true doormat since the expansion to 12 teams. That will not be the case this winter, however. USC has proven to be a competent ballclub through non-conference play, and could fight for a middle-of-the-pack finish. Maybe "Captain Bucktooth"... er, Andy Enfield, has a clue, after all.

jgisland - AllBuffs - ASU - Hulrey is going to make them relevant in a hurry.

CVilleBuff - AllBuffs - Tough call as I think there are numerous teams better than expected. As a result, it may limit teams finishing wildly above where they were selected. However, I've been impressed with ASU. Hurley has come in and injected immediate life. The Sun Devils already boast wins over the likes of a ranked (#17 at the time) Texas A&M side, UNLV, NC State, and Creighton.

Surprise Disappointment Team in Pac-12?

Jake Shapiro - BSNDenver.com - CAL

Ryan Koenigsberg - BSNDenver.com - Arizona

Will Whelan - BuffStampede.com - If anyone disappoints, it’s going to be Cal. No doubt.

Tyler Ziskin - BuffStampede.com - Utah. Outside of Poeltl nothing about them scares me at all, and their guard play is especially suspect. If I had more gumption I'd pick the Buffs to finish ahead of them in the league.

Buffnik - AllBuffs - Cal

Goose - AllBuffs - Utah

Rumblin - AllBuffs - Stanford - It's not all that surprising, per se, to see them dropping games with regularity,
as the last few waves of talent have spent themselves upon the rocks, but Johnny Dawkins' squad is just... *meh*. I can't even bring myself to care about anyone on that roster. It's UW syndrome all over again. Bottom-quarter for a program that should be doing soooo much more.

jgisland - AllBuffs - Stanford, just fire Dawkins already.

CVilleBuff - AllBuffs - Stanford. It's not surprising that Stanford is mediocre under Dawkins. It's just surprising that they continue to tolerate it. This mediocre Stanford side stands to be one of the victims of such a deep Pac-12 this season.

Player of the Year in Pac-12?

Andrew Haubner - CU Independentt - Jakob Poeltl, Utah

Adam Munsterteiger - BuffStampede.com - Gary Payton II, Oregon State

Jake Shapiro - BSNDenver.com - Josh Scott, Colorado

Ryan Koenigsberg - BSNDenver.com - Jakob Poeltl, Utah

Will Whelan - BuffStampede.com - If Oregon finishes second, Dillon Brooks has a real shot at this,
but I don’t see anyway Jakob Poeltl doesn’t get it at this point. He’s the conference’s best player by a wide margin.

Tyler Ziskin - BuffStampede.com - Jakob Poeltl, Utah. Honestly this seems like a no brainer because everyone loves him and he's going to see a lot of touches because the rest of Utah's team is not that reliable. He's a monster on both ends, simple as that.

Buffnik - AllBuffs - Jakob Poeltl, Utah

Goose - AllBuffs - Jakob Poeltl, Utah

Coach of the Year in Pac-12?

Andrew Haubner - CU Independentt - Wayne Tinkle, Oregon State

Adam Munsterteiger - BuffStampede.com - Wayne Tinkle, Oregon State

Jake Shapiro - BSNDenver.com - Andy Enfield, USC

Ryan Koenigsberg - BSNDenver.com - Tad Boyle, Colorado

Will Whelan - BuffStampede.com - This is the toughest award to decide. I think Sean Miller has a real chance.
I hate his roster, and he’s got them in a position to win the conference again.

Tyler Ziskin - BuffStampede.com - Bobby Hurley. If the Buffs do finish 5th as I predicted above than he deserves to win in my eyes, but Hurley gets the nod. They lost a ton of talent and had very little expectations and they have really impressed in the last month or so. If that trend continues I see him getting the worthy recognition in his first year in the league.

Buffnik - AllBuffs - Wayne Tinkle, Oregon State

Goose - AllBuffs - Wayne Tinkle, Oregon State

Rumblin - AllBuffs - Sean Miller, Arizona. The man is a witch doctor. How are they always this good on the glass?

Adam Munsterteiger - BuffStampede.com - Ivan Rabb, Cal

Jake Shapiro - BSNDenver.com - Tyler Dorsey, Oregon

Ryan Koenigsberg - BSNDenver.com - Tyler Dorsey, Oregon

Will Whelan - BuffStampede.com - Tyler Dorsey, Oregon. If he stays healthy. Trier is a real threat at UA, but Dorsey does it all. Kid is the real deal.

Tyler Ziskin - BuffStampede.com - Ivan Rabb, Cal. I picked Jaylen Brown to start the year but Rabb has proven to be the more reliable of the two to this point in the year. I really really wanted to pick Dejounte Murray here but I don't think Washington will make enough noise to garner enough votes.

Buffnik - AllBuffs - Jaylen Brown, Cal

Goose - AllBuffs - Allonzo Trier, Arizona

Rumblin - AllBuffs - Tyler Dorsey, Oregon. I'm taking KEYSER SOZE over Jaylen Brown, mostly because I think Dorsey is thebetter player right now. Hampered a little by injuries, he's still a really nice, efficient fit in Eugene.

jgisland - AllBuffs - Jaylen Brown, Cal

Will Whelan - BuffStampede.com - Jakob Poeltl should get this. He’s sick. Seriously, I get quesey watching him move his feet.
It’s a thing of drunken beauty.

Tyler Ziskin - BuffStampede.com - Gary Payton II, Oregon State. There isn't even a contender. No one effects the defensive side of the ball like Payton. He may be the best perimeter defender in the entire country.

This is the deepest the Pac has been since we joined and it's not even close. No one is elite, but the depth is outstanding. There is going to be cannibalization in conference play, but quality win opportunities are going to be numerous for everyone. ASU, OSU and USC will be in the bubble conversation, at least at some point.

Thanks again to all that participated!

So what do we think AllBuffs? Is @Goose decision to go against the grain and exclude Utah from the Dance a wise one? Does Brett Brady have pictures of @RumblinBuff he doesn't want to go public, or is his 'Players To Watch' pick for CU a legit one? Should we all tar and feather @jgisland for being the only member on the panel not to pick our beloved Buffs to go dancing? Is anyone else wondering how the hell to pronounce Poeltl?

Let's see your picks. In the time honored AllBuffs tradition, prepare to be mocked later in the season.

Much thanks to everyone who participated and especially to @Scotch for pulling this together.

Looking forward to seeing some picks by others on all or part of it.

@Goose looking good after week one with his Utah predicted slip.

Funny thing with Cal. I picked them before the season to win the Pac-12 and then cooled on them in the non-conference season. But seeing their talent, that's the most talented team in the Pac-12 and has legit Final Four ability if they play defense like they did this week against CU and Utah.
