This was announced in December but I'm not sure we had a thread for it. (Apologies if this is redundant.)

Wilner just sent an email with some details:

On the SiriusXM partnership

Details are beginning to emerge about the Pac-12’s partnership with SiriusXM, but the situation is fluid. I’m researching a few key issues and hope to have full report on the Hotline in the next 48 hours.
Here are a few confirmed nuggets:
• The channel is schedule to debut in the first quarter of 2018, which means the basketball regular season is in jeopardy of not making the launch date. (Let's hope the channel is up-and-running for the Pac-12 tournament, at least.)
• The programming lineup hasn't been finalized, but expect the framework to feature talk shows during morning and evening drive-time, with live events at night (and in the afternoon when possible). The talk shows will have significant call-in component, which isn't good news for David Coleman, the director of football officials. (Just kidding ... mostly.)
• The live events will focus on football and men’s basketball, but not at the exclusion of the Olympic sports. There will be a mix, but it sounds like the two majors will be the prime drivers. (How could it be any other way, right?)
• The conference is hoping to tap into Pac-12 Networks content and talent to create a synergy, meaning you’ll probably hear the studio analysts making regular appearances on the radio channel.
Check the Hotline later in the week for more. — Jon Wilner.

This would be great. I listen to ESPNU on SiriusXM and like it okay, but it is 95% talk of the Top 5 teams in the country, and almost zero Pac 12 discussion. I would definitely tune in for talk shows specific to our conference. The Weasel would be a great contributor if he doesn't land the Zona gig. He is actually one of my favorites to listen to.

This is great news! I need a good sports show to listen to. 104.3 is awful and ESPN is full of loud mouths and they killed the only show I liked, mike and mike.

Golic's laugh was enough for me to quit listening. He's jimmy fallon, everything he hears is the funniest thing he's ever heard.

Great news though, love Sirius.

You think so? Haha I just liked the two together. They went over a variety of topics and they kept it interesting.

I am looking forward to this as I travel around to visit customers and am on Sirius pretty much 99% of the time.
The one thing that is weak at the PAC 12 Network are really strong Voices and Personalities. I like the men and women on the network, but they are so average, and we never hear or see them on other national networks as cross personalities. I know that the network strives to focus on the athletes, but the lack of personalities is almost sad. I wish that they would go an get the bigger voices back from other networks and have them work harder to get national attention.
My choice for the Voice of the PAC 12 would be JOEL KLATT!!!

You don’t like bomani Jones? I was always a Russilo fan but bomani is great.

I’m not a big fan of his, no. The times I’ve listened he tends to make things about race, i hate that. But, he is much better than other options out there.

Like it or not there are tons of things that indeed are about race. Instead of hating the topic hate the injustices.

I want to hear shows from the following people at the Network, and not currently at the Network:

BILL WALTON (BASKETBALL AND CONCERTS AT FOLSOM)
JEREMY BLOOM (SPORTS BUSINESS)
CURTIS CONWAY (FOOTBALL)
LINCOLN KENNEDY (FOOTBALL, SPECIFICALLY LINE PLAY)

JOEL KLATT (OVERALL VOICE OF THE ENTIRE NETWORK, TV AND RADIO)
RICK NEUHEISEL (FOOTBALL COACHING)
JESSICA MENDOZA (SOFTBALL AND OTHER SPORTS)

I would go all in on Klatt as the overall voice of the entire Sports Network on TV and Radio, as he has begun to earn national respect. However, Fox also sees him as an up and comer.

Injustices don't exist in sports? Ok

I bet you love Stephen A. too don’t you? I turn it on to hear about SPORTS TALK, who won, who lost, what’s next. If i wanted to hear about social and racial injustice I’ll turn on Fox News or get on Twitter. Sports aren’t about race until some loud mouth makes it about race.

You turn to Fox News for news about injustice? I'm done.

Edit: Race is prevalent in all walks of life and that includes SPORTS. If you don't believe that you live in an absolute fantasy world and I feel sorry for you.

No, I don’t watch the news because it’s a waste of time. I like my fantasy world with a white picket fence and sports talk devoid of talk about race. (y)

I'll end with this. I most certainly hope you are not one of those people who think the players should just shut up and play. These people have family and friends that aren't rich dealing with real life **** every single day. I have no problem with them standing up or kneeling for what they believe in. Everyone knows they are right and the real reason for the protest. People have tried to change the protest into disrespect for the flag and troops. Please tell me you're not that guy. This is sports in today's world. Anyway the fact that Fox News was bought up tells me I won't be changing your mind. Have a good night. Go Buffs!!!

This is really awesome news. I don’t have Sirius anymore, but it’s cool that USC, Stanford and Oregon will be on the radio ad nauseam.

I really like Mark Packer's show on ESPNU and listened to him on my way home off and on this season. I thought he did a good job of talking about the biggest games around the country each week.
