No conference is going to give a detailed explanation to a media outlet, what did they expect a detailed reason why something was our was not called. The coaches on the other hand will get a detailed explanation that they can use for teaching purposes. I would like the standard reply to include "TV, media personnel, and fans do not have the same view of the play on the field nor the thorough understanding of the rules of the game and their appropriate application as our on-field officials. As such it would be inappropriate to make any further statements regarding any aspect of rules that require interpretation or judgement. Each team has been advised as to how/why a ruling was made for the requested plays in order to facilitate coaching techniques that comply with the rules of the game."

A credentialed media member is posting on a fan site about a questionable call. That pretty much tells me all I need to know about him. I am sure Denver Post is real happy with that.

They don't give a ****. Stephens is ****ing awful, as in the Post sports dept.

Who was the high school recruit that they outed the injury about last year? They didn't give two ****s.

Against my better judgment, I shall now go lurk on Ram Nation and see how many heads have exploded. Schadenfreude.

I don't know about injury but they leaked Moretti flipping from tOSU to us way before he announced it. And when Adam called them out, they doubled down and said they don't care because they're "journalists".

That's right. Thanks for the correction. **** em

Fairly certain that journalistic integrity left the Post a long time ago.

What's hilarious to me is that lamenation is apparently the best that they can do. A Windows 95, dial up looking board with exactly one mod. Lot of internet traffic looking to connect with other CSU fans, eh?

The problem there is that they're not around the program every day so they have no appreciation for what is sensitive information. The guys doing daily coverage had all known for a bit and not said anything. Hell, I'd even known for a bit and didn't say anything (2 people PM'd me on AB and I kept it quiet).

I don't think it's too much to ask of the media that covers the Buffs to let kids have their moment announcing their own college commitment when they choose to do so. Not that big of a story that it is lessened by reporting on it instead of being the one who breaks it. And if we step back and think about this with some perspective, we're generally talking about an underage minor deciding where he is probably going to college (assuming he doesn't change his mind and his parents sign the paperwork).
