Pac-12 Television Coverage Sept 3, 2011

Here is the schedule for Sept. 3. Assuming the Pac will televise 2 games, which would you want to see?

Minnesota at USC
UCLA at Houston
California (game to be scheduled) - guess they still havent admitted to scheduling Presbyterian
San Jose State at Stanford
Oregon vs. LSU
Oregon State (game to be scheduled)
Eastern Washington at Washington
Idaho State at Washington State​

Even from a completely objective point of view, I don't see a game on that schedule that's more interesting than those two.

UCLA vs UH is close but I can't imagine that bringing much more fans.

Although I agree that Oregon/LSU and Buffs/Hawaii would be my choice, it would not surprise me to see USC/Minn get the nod since it features teams from two major conferences.

Keep in mind that the home team conferences television contract carries the games -- so that affects it somewhat. Also I believe Oregon/LSU is the ESPN prime time national game that day.

Usually most of the PAC games are on locally (usually on Fox Sports affiliates) so you can watch them at bars or at home if you have DirecTv with the regional sports package.

Because there won't be a Pac 12 network yet.

Because the CU Hawai'i game will be late, it's likely to be televised without much competition. You could easily have more than two games on TV here. And won't the Hawai'i game be negotiated by them and their conference, not the the Pac-12, because of where it's played?

yes.

hawaii home games are a different animal. this game will be on at a very late time, if it is televised at all...

I agree, but i could see a case for USC vs. Minny (new coach for Minny, USC gets ratings, etc.) and possibly defending Nat'l champs EWU (no joke) visiting UW.

Agree with the post above. Two BCS schools w/ annual powerhouse USC trump CU and UH, even though we're all bias and want to see that one.
