I have a love/hate relationship that show. I love and hate the fact I get to re-watch Buff games. Last night I watched the UCLA game from last year. How frustrating! I had forgotten how that ****up at the end of the first half cost us that game. So close in so many games...

Gives me hope though. On paper were stronger, faster, deeper, better coached and more experienced, so everything says we should be much improved in the win column this season. But 10 years of futility really weighs down on my psyche and I assume the collective psyche of Buff fans. So I'm going to try to listen to my head and expect more wins and tell my psyche to STFU :)

Go Buffs!!

That was a huge learning moment for Sefo and for Coach Mac. Sucked cuz it cost us that win I think, but I bet you that mistake will never be made again by either of those guys.

We took a top 25 team to the wire. Went toe to toe with a QB in the heisman conversation. Scored a bunch of points against a talented defense. Lots to like about that game. Only thing missing was the win. That is the only thing missing from really putting colorado back on track and I am hoping that starts to happen this year.
 
like I said - did not want to start a new thread. This is a news thread, we all like the grass eater, I know lsu is not in the Pac, etc. sorry... everyone is sooo critical on game week?

I don't think everybody is critical. It's just that that this is the 60 in 60 thread, which I wouldn't categorize as a "news thread".

But I'm happy to discuss Les here. It's not as if I've ever tried to keep a thread on track before, so it seems unlikely I'd start now.

Most of us would assume that you trying to get a thread back on track would only be because you needed to move it down the rails to your next scheduled derailment anyway.

sorry. What corner were you talking about? The OP was talking about missed opportunities last year. The thread took a turn regarding Les Miles (a coach) going to the hospital. I found a picture of Les Nesmann with a bandage, mostly to humor Orr. I haven't seen anyone, including the OP, reference a corner or any other player being hospitalized. I didn't mean to offend. Since you lumped it in with a comment about a TV show, I didn't see anything serious going on here.

But, it was much more than just a simple quotation of a common punchline. It was a canny reference to the number of people who go to the hospital to die (or go to the other side). I get no credit for subtlety around here. Les's bandage was in the same vein. Of course, now that I've explained the joke, it's no longer funny, and I'll just have to weep in awkward sadness into my keyboard. Where's my help now UBL boy?

Where's your credit to Ogre? He's the one that pointed out it's no joke, as in going to the other side is no laughing matter.

I didn't consider that potential in Ogre's response before now, but I'm pretty sure we all got your "other side" double-entendre before you explained it. I guess I'm still not clear why you responded to him the way you did.
