The article is suspiciously without citation. However...

Apparently, Texas agrees with the move current West Virginia athletic director Oliver Luck made last year, as word is circulating the Longhorns will be selling beer at all sporting events going forward, beginning with this evening’s womens’ basketball contest between Texas and the TCU Horned Frogs.
I don't care if it is just a rumor. If true, :congrats:

They are testing serving beer at all events except for football, with the ultimate goal of getting beer into DKR for the upcoming season. I knew having a roommate employed by UT Athletics would pay off.

Still sad they got rid of it at basketball games. Wasn't it 3.2 as well? Not a bad compromise. The only thing to be wary of is the revenue side, didn't Minnesota lose money in their first year selling beer?

WTF? How do lose money selling beer? Sounds like that asshole Trump going bankrupt running a casino.

I just read an article. They sold a little over $900k. Their cut was 22%. Start-up costs and extra security cost over $250k.

They'll likely make money in year 2.

Bad idea in Texas but whatever lol. Well not football is a good idea. They should have shot sales for the Iron Bowl, omg it would be Armageddon.

What I would like to see is for them to set up little beer gardens on either side of the stadium and invite local craft breweries to set up taps. Since the Front Range is now the "Napa Valley of Beer", they could even get away by saying it celebrates our local heritage.

CU would be great to embrace all the character that makes Colorado great - beer, outdoors, stuff like that.... they won't

Coors was approximately 10mm annual revenue to the University back in the day. It can be managed. Count me in.

Boulder itself has a ton of breweries that would be great to have on tap at the stadiums. For example:

Avery
Upslope
Twisted Pine
Boulder Beer
Fate

get Twisted Pine and Boulder Beer off your list and that is a good start.

I like Boulder Beer. They have an excellent Chocolate Porter and Hazed and Infused is also great

Ha just listing some Boulder breweries. Definitely not my favorites but I think bringing in one of the local breweries would be beneficial two fold. Advertising and likely revenue directly to the community. Bring beer and some revenue back to CU. Everyone wins.

Boulder Beer brews Buffalo Gold, which I would tend to think might be kind of a natural thing to sell at CU home games.
