Could this be the facilities announcement? It's 2 days before the Pac-12 home opener, so it could be as simple as that. But this seems like it's more.

I've never heard coach mac speak live. if he doesn't speak at the kick off luncheon, I'm excited to see him at this.

Can someone explain to me what exactly this is? Seems like odd timing - 1 month into the season, 2 nights before the UCLA game. I guess I'm a little confused to why this rally is being held in late September & not one month earlier. Also, this seems like it would've been a great event to put together with a March Madness event in Coors Events Center.

this was pre-planned... Coach mac mentioned it during the Spring Game Luncheon... who's bringing me some birthday Booze?

Sounds awesome. But why Broomfield?

I think it's a great idea for an event, but I was a tad (pardon the pun) curious as to why Broomfield was selected, too. The new-ish stadium there seats about 3500 less than the Coors Events Center, and it would be difficult for students to make the trip as opposed to just walking to the on-campus CEC. But, perhaps this is geared more towards alums and Denver residents ($$) and spreading the Buffs good cheer across the state. I have a little theory also that maybe when/if they finally do a full renovation of the CEC, a season's worth of games might be played in Broomfield. Just a thought, though I could be way off. What do I know, living in Chicago with never attending anything at the 1st Bank Center and the last time stepping foot in the Coors Events Center, well that was for an accounting final exam.

No matter if this was pre-planned this is an odd date and place to have it. That being said, BupsJones does bring up an interesting point on the CEC renovation making the hoops and volleyball teams relocate, possibly to the 1st Bank Center. I hadn't really ever thought about it, not sure that is the reason it is being held here, but interesting none the less.

Yup, I think the new facilities plan is obvious: Ignore football, upgrade the keg, make Whoseyourtaddy coach for life with 100 million contract over next 20 years.

They're going to hit you up for money and are trying to add people to the donor list.

That's why it requires registration even tho it's free.

I'll be there. I love hearing Coach Mac speak. Do you think Chic-Fil-A is sponsoring? :smile2:
