It's easy to look at USC and wonder how anybody could screw that up. Thing is, it's hard to maintain success. You can have all the advantages in the world, but if you make one mistake in hiring, the whole thing crumbles. USC got incredibly lucky when they hired Pete Carroll, and have been trying desperately to duplicate that success since he left. It's not as easy as it sounds. The expectations at a place like USC are ridiculous, too.
SC was in the P12 title game this past year...Yeah, they've been in CU type of shambles since Pete left. Haven't been in the p12 title game or had AAs or good recruiting classes.
Their bottom sounds great to me. Expectations should be high.
