So he is good enough for Arky State but not CU ? It really blows that he isn't even being considered here. The guy wins. That is tops on my wish list.

WE just fired a guy with very good character (even though he acted like a baby after he was fired). Hiring Petrino would create a firestorm for CU that we cannot afford.

Your logic doesn't make sense. It would be a PR stain on the school to hire him. Arkansas State doesn't have to care about that, they only need care about winning at football.
It was obvious from the start that CU had no interest in Tressel or Petrino. We can debate it theoretically all we want, but in reality Bohn et al are probably right to stay well clear. I could only imagine the field day the Denver press would have with us hiring one of them.

We are a laughing stock all season long. Winning cures everything. You sound like a bunch of nancies. Get a spine. He is a football coach not ambassador of good will. Do we want to win or not? Oh no heaven forbid a "pr stain" like going 1-11 isn't pr stain enough.
But at CU graduation rates and clean noses mater more.
Though that might be easing a little.

Glad to see how little you understand Boulder and Colorado. Mac was not generally revered for his record of "winning", due to outside interests that were of a higher sort than Petrino's!
Macs religious excursions were tolerated because he won. If he was not a winner I think he would have been done.
