Thomas broke a long TD run early but Cuse just tied it up on a flea-flicker.

i guess i'm pulling for Snyder here...since we beat them. but, really, KSU is a dog team and Cuse is trying to refurb from the Greg Robinson era.....and I'm not (and never was) a GR fan.

Another TD by Thomas to tie it up at 14. This field is very slippery, Nassib just slipped while dropping back to pass.

SU o-line is really starting to take over here in the 2nd half but then Cuse botched an extra point due to a bad snap. The option pass by KSU that Thomas threw to Coffman was perfectly executed. KSU now driving to take the lead.

KSU just converted on 2 4th-down's inside the 10 to take the lead 28-27. I'm surprised they went for the first one since it was 4th and 2 and they were only down by 6 very early in the 4th.

I don't know why KSU faked it there, it was a chip-shot FG and would've left them down by only 2 with over 5 minutes left. Plus it was a terrible fake. Then right after that Carter breaks off a long run.

Yes, that was an absolutely horrific call on the KjSU receiver for celebrating after the TD. Especially when you consider the fact that the penalty was enforced on the extra point and KjSU needed a 2-point conversion for the tie. Unfortunate ending to a very good game.

I have no love for the pussies, but c'mon, is the umpire from upstate NY?

It would have been moot if Snyder had gone for three, probably.

So, it begs these questions:

1. Did kjsu get screwed by the refs calls or did the purple pussies deserve what they got?

2. Was grandpa Munster awake for the 4th quarter?

Delone Carter for SU gets the MVP, and he's certainly deserving with 202 yards rushing, a 7.2 average and 2 TD's. But he really should split it with Marcus Sales who had 5 receptions for 172 yards and 3 TD's.

Tennessee just score, the guy high steps, salutes twice, bumps his teammates, and salutes another couple of times while leaving the field. No flag.

Yea I just saw that. And it shouldn't have been a flag. Nor should most of these celebrations, late hits, or helmet-to-helmet hits be penalties either. This is the game of football, not tiddly-winks.

Agree completely - football is becoming less fun to watch, and it's not all on Hawkins and McDaniels.

I had thought maybe the new rule specifically called out saluting, but not if they play by the same rulebook...

That Pinstripe Bowl seemed like an okay idea last summer.
But after the snowstorm paralizing the NYC airports, the drifts of snow at the ball park, the awful looking turf, the crummy anti-B12 officiating, that bowl game lost some of it's appeal.

As much as I wish CU might have earned a bowl birth, frankly I'm glad not to have made that trip to the Bronx this time around.

The weather was bad, but regardless 38K in NYC when they ended up getting Syracuse in the game has to be a huge disappointment. I hate to imagine what the crowd would've been if South Florida ended up in this game. The people in the Northeast just don't have their priorities straight when it comes to college football vs. pro football. :smile2:
